No! Scratch that, second worst fucking week. Finding Tessa crying in the bathroom with blood all over the floor was the worst week. Miscarriage hits so fucking hard.

"Don't cry, Bud. I'm not upset with you." I say gently, and he shakes in my arms one more time before sinking into my embrace, sighing as he wraps his arms around my torso.

We stay there. I pet his head of hair, and rub his shoulder with my free hand. Once I'm pretty sure he's asleep it my arms, I grab him and hoist him up bridal style just like I did Tessa. Another thing, I have taken Tessa, Emery, and now Auden up the stairs bridal style as they sleep in my arms. This week has been crazy and it's only Tuesday.

I open his door and gently drop him on his messy bed. I tug the covers up to his chin and brush his hair from his forehead with my palm as I kiss his head.

I cross the hallway to my own room and see Tessa smiling as she looks at the ceiling. "What's up with you?" I ask, smirking as I kiss her lips.

"Nothing. I'm just happy." She replies, and I grin at her, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.

She bites her lip and I can't help but bite mine. "As you should." I reply before breaking our gaze and climbing into bed beside her, tossing my shirt at her to wear.

TESSA.

I feel something soft and warm press onto my lips, and I stir. Once I open my eyes Hardin is shutting the door behind him. I furrow my brows on why he's leaving me and I sit up. This better not be one of my nightmares where he just leaves all of the sudden.

I sit up and walk over towards the door, I go into the hallway and look down both sides before walking halfway down the steps.

I see Hardin on the floor with Auden in the living room. I smile softly as I see him talking with him. I see the seriousness on Hardin's face and it makes my insides feel warm with happiness. I don't care what he says, he's an amazing father! And I'm glad that he's their influence.

I walk back upstairs so I don't bring notice to myself and I see Emery's door cracked and the light on.

I'm in a happy mood, maybe I should go tell her goodnight. I walk closer and slowly open her cracked door to peak in.

I open it further to see her by her window, smiling like an idiot to something, or someone outside of her window. "Why would I listen to your music shit?"

I furrow my eyebrows before I hear someone reply, "because it's pure art!"

I clear my throat and Emery looks over, her smile fading as she looks at me. Well shit, now she thinks I'm invading her privacy. Well, maybe I should've knocked...

"Mom..." she trails off.

"Oh, I just wanted to say goodnight."

"Goodnight Mrs. Scott!" The boy shouts and Emery looks back over at him giggling as she hushes him.

"You're going to wake up the entire fucking neighborhood, you asswipe!"

"Oops." I hear the boy say sarcastically, and I immediately decide I like this boy.

"Goodnight, mom." Emery says, a soft smile on her face. Holy shit, she isn't mad at me?
