[ 12 ] - In Awe ~ Harvey x Reader

     As he watched the fair farmer work tirelessly at the farm, he stood there at the entrance. Peaking from the shadows, his eyes glossed over the lean farmer. Somehow, while walking mindlessly..his legs dragged him towards the famous farmer. The random stranger who came here for a change and suddenly the whole town seemed to change along with them.

Harvey didn't know why but he couldn't find the courage to walk even further, let alone disturb them in action. His eyes drifted towards the farmer's coarse hands plucking up the healthy plants, watering those that are dehydrated, and tending to the animal life.
The way they worked seemed so amusing and utterly adorable. This seems to be his newest favorite kind of entertainment: You. Finally, as you swipe away a drop of sweat..you turn to the flushing doctor.
"Oh! Hey Harvey! Sorry, I didn't see you there hehe..!" You say cheerfully with a bright eyed smile. His eyes twinkle and his cheeks heat up.
"A-Ah yes, it's quite alright though..uh, I should b—!" As he was going to make a break for it, you were already in front of him.
     Throwing his hands back a bit, you stare at him with googling eyes...so sharp yet round. His shoulders relaxed but his cheeks reddens.
     "Aw c'mon, you just got here! Stay awhile! I'm almost done with farming anyhow..!" Your smile was genuine and his heart almost cracked under pressure.
     He ducked his head down to glance at his watch, 12:20, it read. He inhaled before letting out a softening exhale. His once straight and narrow mouth twisted into a dorky grin.
     "I guess, I could stay awhile.." Half lidded and at awe at the farmer, you squealed before pulling him towards the farm.
You both mosey along the concrete pathway the farmer crafted as they showed, proudly, their wide variety of crops. The glimmer in their eye as they talked about each and individual plant was astonishing. As if each was a child of their own.
"Hey, you listening?" The farmer snapped their finger in front of me before giving out a muffled giggle.
"Lost in thought there, buddy?" Tilting their head downward, it gave me a peak at their once covered face.
All I think of was how amazing they were and how proud I am of them. To work on a farm on your own is...time consuming and mental warfare as you have to take care of yourself and other living organisms. Sometimes he wonders if he could ever be like you...strong willed.
He softly sighed before clasping his hands together and shoving them behind him. With the sun setting before them, there was a soft glow that surrounded the fellow doctor. Something that the farmer couldn't describe but all they saw was a green tint in the doctor's eyes as they pierced right through their wholesome heart.
"No, not at all....just at awe." He spoke softly before colliding with you.
