She thought about Kagami and Adrien and remembered that the villain was going after people who were in love, making her frown. Perhaps, separating them, temporarily, would be safer for them both.

She grabbed the miraculous and put it to the side.

"The dragon, are you sure?" Master Fu asked unsurely.

"Ah, yes, I'm certain."

Master Fu closed the lid and moved across to the cooler.

"Tikki, spots off." Marinette called, passing her Kwakiutl a cookie when she had finished de-transforming.

"Master Fu, I'm sure that I was followed. As soon as I leave, whoever they are will come for the miraculous.'"

Master Fu frowned but open the container once again, pulling a small pouch from a side compartment.

He looked at Marinette closely, searchingly, before he nodded.

"The previous guardian made this pouch." Marinette listened closely as he explained.

"Years ago, there was a large war of the miraculous, one holder wished to combine the powers to grant them self a wish. This is what I believe Hawkmoth wants. Though to what ends, I am unsure." He began to transfer each miraculous to its designated area within the pouch, a series of separate pockets to prevent their combining.

"This pouch was made by my predecessor to transport the miraculous after he was discovered. The box," he put his hand on the lid of the, now empty, box, "stayed with the guardian. While Ladybug and Chat Noir guarded the pouch."

Marinette nodded in understanding. Master fu opened several other compartments in the box, revealing compact scrolls and lists.

"These are instructions to strengthen your Miraculous," he looked at her closely, "I had not wished of you to discover them for some time yet, but now that you have them... I urge you to follow them."

Marinette was confused but nodded anyway, if it would strengthen her miraculous, it would be worth it.

She looked at the pouch in confusion.

"How does it all fit?" Master Fu looked up with a smug smile.

"The guardian has many powers. One being the ability to bend small spaces. It's a trick that's passed down to protect the miraculous."

Marinette nodded and accepted the pouch securing it to the side of her purse.

"When you transform, it will be concealed, much like your civilian outfit."

Marinette nodded and looked over at Tikki, who had finished her cookie.

"Tikki, spots on!"

She swung out of the carousel, pouch hidden just as Master Fu had said.

"My dear guardian, what a pleasure it is to finally meet you." Fu looked up to see Hawkmoth standing in the window of the booth.

'So, Marinette was correct.'

Kagami looked at the last of her ice cream cone and peered at Adrien form the corner of her eye.

She held it out to him and waited as he opened his mouth to accept the treat.

He closed his eyes for a second, as he savoured the flavour.
