They all picked up some of the boxes. Adrien and Kagami shook their heads at her.

"Are you kidding? We can't wait to get away." Adrien spoke, as they all stood up from the floor, still holding the boxes which she had dropped.

"It's a good thing you're as clumsy as they are boring." Kagami reassured as she looked over her shoulder at the mellow festivities.

Marinette smiled with a chuckle and shrugged her shoulders at the comment.

They handed over the boxes to her parents and stepped back from the table, looking out across the room.

"Marinette, could you get the empty trays for us, please." Her mother asked and Marinette moved to turn around.

"Uh, can we help you?" Adrien asked as he and Kagami both looked at her. "Please~" he put his hands together, like praying, and looked at her hopefully.

"Alright." Marinette decided as she smiled at them, both of them giving triumphant smiles.

"Ah, Marinette, before you head back home, could you bring us some drink umbrellas? They're in the kitchen, thanks." Her dad pointed towards a set of double doors, before turning back to some of the dishes on the table behind.

Marinette nodded and grabbed a stack of the empty trays, heading in the direction that her father pointed.

Adrien and Kagami followed her, also grabbing the rest of the empty trays.

"I'm sure you'd all like to know the secret behind our long lasting marriage, and well, the secret is-..." The mayor spoke jovially, addressing the calm crowd.

"Distance!" His wife interrupted. "Come on! Give me that!" She yanked the couples' cape, almost causing her husband to fall.

"Darling, it's supposed to be a cloak for couples!" He protested, tugging it towards himself.

"Don't be ridiculous! Give me that!" She demanded, continuing to tug at the material.

Natalie smiled at the display, walking away from the quarrying couple.

Gabriel watched the altercation from his office and smiled as he saw the fracture in their marriage, such things were exactly what he could use.

He used the secret entrance to emerge into his butterfly-observatory room.

"Nooroo, dark wings rise." He called as he removed his tie, the Kwami entering the miraculous which sat as a button pin under his collar.

The purple butterfly transformation engulfed him and Hawkmoth stepped out of the light, cane in hand.

Marinette looked around for the mini Umbrellas and smiled happily as she found them, tucked into a 200-pack box. She pulled one out and opened it.

She jumped as the happy laughter behind her grew nearer and Kagami and Adrien moved past, sword fighting with large soul spoons.

"Touché, I didn't feel a thing." Adrien spoke as he parried Kagami's playful strike.

Kagami laughed and ran towards him, making him back up, both smiling brightly. "Alright, straight to the heart." Kagami joked as they moved around the central island table.

Marinette sighed slightly at the sight, it saddened her to see them together. Strangely, it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. She wondered if perhaps that was because Adrien no longer ruled her heart and she was merely sad that she didn't have the same as them.

Gorilla picked up a choc chip cookie and made a happy grunting noise as he lifted it to his mouth, about to eat the delicious treat.

"The children haven't returned. Where have they gone?" Kagami's guard asked as she stood beside the large man. He looked at his cookie sadly and put it down, heading off to look for their charges.
