He smiled softly. He didn't know what it exactly was, but he had a warm feeling in his chest when he thought of his clumsy friend.
She was like a star, bright and radiant, filling a dark sky with light. Her beautiful hair, petite nose, bluebell eyes, her beautiful smi-
He paused and sat there, shocked by his own thoughts.
Adrien looked back at his phone and swiped back and forth between ladybug and Marinette, a startled look on his face.
"Plagg, I think I like Marinette."
He was interrupted by a notification on his computer screen. He opened it and smiled when he saw an image of Marinette and Kagami, smiling at the camera.
He immediately liked it, his eyes not moving from his beautiful classmate. He touched the screen over Marinette's figure and smiled softly. She really was beautiful.
Plagg gave a relieved sigh, "Ah~ you've finally realised that there's more than one type of cheese in this world." He giggled softly, thinking that Adrien had been looking at Kagami.
'And some, have nothing to lose.'
A boy cycled along, humming a tune to himself. It changed slightly with each repeat, becoming closer to the one he wanted.
The maroon hare stood out in stark contrast on the large yellow box, attached to the back of his bicycle. His guitar sticking out of the front basket.
He delivered a pizza to a large man, all the while humming.
"Thanks," he uttered, receiving it gratefully.
Luka cycled across a bridge, arriving at another house, where he delivered their order.
The woman took it from him and he suddenly stopped humming with an intake of air.
"That's it. I've got it." He moved away quickly. "Gotta go, enjoy your meal." He grabbed his bicycle and cycled off, leaving a confused woman, watching on, behind him.
Marinette loaded the last Macaroons into the box, talking down the phone to her father.
"Yes, dad. I do know where the Grand Paris Hotel is. Me? Late? I'm never late. Okay, yeah, sure. But! This time I won't be late. I promise."
She pulled her phone back from her ear and tucked it away in her bag, lifting the stack of macaroon containers.
She began to head out and misplaced her foot on the level change, almost dropping it all.
She let out loud, panicky sounds and rushed to plant her feet firmly on the ground. Her stance was wide and she went completely still, making sure she was steady.
She looked back at the steps and puffed out a relieved breath.
"That could've been a disaster."
She headed over to the shop entrance and tugged the door open, juggling the boxes and pulling it closed, with the point of her foot, behind her.
She looked forward and jumped as she saw Luka, having not expected him to be there.
He stopped and reached out quickly, catching the boxes that she accidentally threw towards him.
"Yah!" She stared at him wide eyed, before smiling.
"Hah, Luka, what are you doing here?"
She walked over and took the boxes from him. His hand brushed hers softly and she almost pulled away at the butterflies that it caused to flutter in her tummy.
He carefully released the boxes and leant a foot against the pavement to support his bicycle.
"I've been thinking of you actually and I'm pretty sure I found your Melody, at last. The tune that matches you completely. Want to hear it?" He asked and reached for his guitar, a soft look on his face.
Marinette smiled and nodded that she did, listening as he played a beautiful melody on the instrument.
Her face blushed brightly and she watched his side-profile closely, as he closed his eyes to the sound.
"What do you think?" He asked in a warm voice, snapping her from her daydream.
"Wow~ its... Its incredible." She smiled at him sweetly.
"Mn," Luka hummed, unconvinced, "it's still not quite right. I can do better. I'm gonna work on it some more." He shook his head slightly and she looked at him with an unreadable expression.
Her phone rang, breaking the comfortable moment, as she pulled it from her pocket.
"Yeah, dad, I'm on my way." She answered down the phone, looking back to Luka. "Sorry. I gotta go."
She felt sad that the moment was cut short.
She was startled as he held out a spare yellow helmet to her, gesturing behind himself on the bicycle.
He attached her load to the container on the back of his bicycle, waiting as she sat on the seat behind him, getting comfortable.
She blushed softly as she wrapped her arms around him, sitting sideways.
"Hold tight." He reassured before taking off, heading towards the hotel.
When they got there, Marinette jumped from the back and removed her helmet, handing it across to the boy.
"Thanks Luka!"
She removed her boxes from the back and moved around the bike, his eyes not leaving her once. There was a small smile that refused to leave his face, as he watched her move.
She stopped beside him and levelled him with an unsure look. She paused for a fraction of a second before leaning in and kissing his cheek.
Luka's eyes widened, then he closed them for a second and looked at her with a smile.
"I'll find a perfect tune for your song." He called as he cycled away, both looking back at each other as she entered the hotel and he cycled off to finish his deliveries.
