elaine medina or rather just 'ellie' is widely known around hogwarts as a party girl. at any party there was always elaine.
she enjoys having a good time and it showed but that wasn't all there was about her, as remus would come
to know after a party at gryffindor tower.

while out to walk off the beverages consumed that night, he ran into the hufflepuff who had seemingly gotten lost. through their drunken conversation, they had come to find they had a lot in common but remus lupin seemed to have
learned much about her except her name.

she isn't a textbook hufflepuff, she holds massive house pride when others in her house don't. she doesn't believe in any of that one house is better than another bullshit — she would rather everyone to just get along. she excels in classes that aren't herbology or care of magical creatures. she makes it a point of hers to be top of her classes, wanting to disprove that hufflepuff house is least likely to produce talented witches and wizards — she'd be the exception. she also very much enjoys learning just as much as she does having a good time. she believed herself to be destined for great things. maybe one day she'd be an auror and work for the ministry, or she'd be a healer. whichever, the future would be open to her. she is an optimist.

she hates the hufflepuff stereotype that they're all nice and bubbly, so she isn't the most friendly person but once you earn her trust you would have it forever. because she goes to all parties no matter who is throwing it, she has friends in all houses, in fact, her group of friends consist of all houses. preferably one of each, but whatever the author chooses.

just because she is friends with a lot of people, she doesn't trust people easily. because she knows once she trusts them, she would trust them with her life. but she is not blindly loyal. when she loves, she loves with all her heart. her and remus first bond over their love of chocolate frogs — then they find they both enjoy academics and such. though she is pompous because of her belief that she is destined for more than she was given. she is clumsy, and reckless — she acts with her heart, whatever her heart told her to do, she'll do it.

she comes from a loving family, with her parents, a sister and brother. their mom is a wizard and dad is a muggle. she is the oldest of the three siblings.

when she finds out about remus' lycanthropy problem she is taken by surprise and shocked, but eventually when the shock wears off she talks to him about it. then they work through it — she knows that it isn't something he asked for as she is very observant and has noticed little things he does.
