There are certain qualities that I have found make a creature similar enough to another that it would be silly not to put them in a group. I will describe them to you so you know the creature a little better even before you read my observations on them.
Fae - Defined by their tendency for forest habitats and magical ability. One similar feature among fae is their pointy ears.
Beasts - Beings that are closer to animals in either looks or attitude.
Monsters - Beasts that are malevolent in nature.
Human-like - Creatures that are more human in personality or appearance.
Demonic - Devious beings that spawn from the underworld.
Angelic - Creatures that are good and spawn from the upperworld.
Undead - Beings that don't have normal living functions and needs and are technically dead, yet still somehow operate.
Spirits - Similar to undead, but lack a physical form and are usually humans who died horribly or without fulfilling their dreams.
Orcs - Dark, nasty beings that love darkness and tend to be greedy and wicked. They usually are quite monstrous looking.
- A being can fit multiple categories, for instance, a creature may appear like a beast, but act rather human making them both human-like and beasts.
