Sammi wakes Shane up the next morning.
"We have to leave... Now."
"Why?" Shane asks. "What's wrong? What's happening?"
"A huge herd of Zeds coming from the highway. We need to go."
Shane gets up and puts the backpack on. She slept in the outfit from yesterday, thinking something like this might happen.
They rush into the car with gallons of gas in the back.
"Where exactly are we going?" Shane asks as they drive off.
"We are heading towards Washington DC. See if they have a place."
"What if they don't?" Shane asks.
Nana Sammi looks at her and says "Then the world is screwed."
