Bhavika's POV

I've been a anxious wreck, since that last conversation we had 2 days ago. Waiting for this Rana, to answer Raju.

I don't know what Raju said to him, but he actually agreed on meeting us today.

So that's why all 3 of my friends and I, are currently in the cafeteria, waiting for Rana to show up.

We've even ordered samosas, laddus, Pani Puri, everything you could think of for him.

We were hoping he'd at least listen for the food. Who could say no to food! I mean chitti always has said, 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach' (Chitti = Aunty)

What better day to test that theory out, than today!?

I was too busy biting my nails anxiously, to notice Rana was heading our way.

In my distracted mind I was starring intently at the laddus, when a pair of hands pushed the plate of laddus my way.

I look up, startled, to see a really handsome guy looking back at me.

His short khol black hair is styled messily, like he just woken up from a nap. His full pink lips set into a warm small smile. His eyes were so dark, that I could see my own reflection on it.

His eyes are like melted dark chocolate, warm, but still guarded.

"Uh, you were staring at the laddus intensely, so I thought miku konni kavali? (You wanted some?) The handsome guy says, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

I turned to look at Raju who quickly nodded his head, as if he knew I was looking for a confirmation.

I turn back to face Rana to introduce myself, but he was already seated comfortably, resting his legs on a chair that was empty.

Okay, that's a little rude.

I cleared my throat, and introduced myself, "Hi, I'm Bhavika, I'm not sure if Raju already told you about my situation, but I really need your help."

He nodded, "I know who you are."
He put his hand out for me to shake.

"Rana," he introduces himself.

I hesitantly put my hand out too, shaking his hand.

"But nah, Raju hasn't said anything about your situation, I'm willing to listen though.." He says, already digging into his food .

Huh, food really is the way to a man's heart!

So I told him everything that happened, till date.

By the end, he has this intense look on his face, while biting his nails.

I was on the edge of my seat, praying he'll say yes! Raju and Viki were the only ones relaxed on their chairs. While Rashi being Rashi hadn't heard a word and is starring dreamily at Rana.

"Interesting..." He says after a long pause.

"Aithey... Miss Bhavi..." (So... Miss Bhavi) he paused for a minute.

"Let me get this straight. You want me to be your 'boyfriend' for two weeks in front of your family, for that I have to accompany you back to your village?" He continued, wanting confirmation.

I simply nodded.

"I've heard about father's sending goons to pound the boyfriend, after knowing their daughter has a lover.

But your father is inviting 'him' like it's his son in law, waiting to celebrate a festival with. He wouldn't want to attack me there, would he?" Rana asked, halfjokingly.

"If we knew that, why would we ask you? We would've asked some fool to go with her instead." Raju says seriously.

Argh! You're not supposed to scare him, stupid!

I discreetly stomp on Raju's foot and throw daggers at him. He barely even flinches at my assault!

"Why am I the scapegoat?"

"Please Rana, I am desperate here, I'll even compensate you for your time. It's just 2 weeks." I plead with him, faking watery eyes.

It's been drilled in my head to NEVER beg or plead to people, since I could talk. Yet here I am, doing the exact opposite.

Since I'm losing my dignity, might as well give them a good performance.

Rana's face dropped so fast, "Oh god, stop crying, I can't handle women crying. Why don't you just elope somewhere else, why do you have to bring a boyfriend with you?"

"She doesn't want to hurt her family, they mean a lot to each other." Viki answers for me.

"Goppa ameku kuda a sentiment undi." (Great she has that sentiment too) he mumbles to himself, sarcastically.

"Alright look, I don't need money. But if I agree to this, what will I get in return?"

"I'll do your assignments for a month!" I bargained with him.

"Tempting offer, but I'm smart enough to do my own assignments."

"Oh." I deflate in my chair. "Then I don't know, what exactly do you want?"

"Ah, I'm glad you asked darlin. I want you to find info on a student, Ravina. I don't care how you do it, I want the whole detail about her."

I was stunned to say the least, I don't say anything for a whole minute, I couldn't even if I wanted to.

Trying to decide if this whole criminal act is even worth getting on an criminal record.

When I hadn't say anything, Rana shrugged and was about to get up from his seat and leave.

"Wait... I'll do it!" I yelled, panicked.

"Ah, I'm glad you came to your senses doll. 8pm tonight sharp." He got up again.

"Wait, how do I know you will keep your end of the deal?"

He smirked, "You don't have much of a choice, sweetheart."

Right, I don't have much of a choice.

On one hand, I'm in a desperate need of his help. And on the other, I have to break a law, that too without getting caught.

Before anyone could protest, "Deal!" I exclaim, without facing my friends, who I know for a fact I will need..

"Alright then I've got to go now, adios amigos" he says, mock saluting us, while stealing the samosas.

After he left we collectively let out a sigh of relief, the air felt suffocating while he was there.

"Soooo, about that hacking thing." Viki asks, amused.

As soon as he questioned, all heads snapped to me, throwing million daggers my way..

I looked at them all sheepishly, "Momo's anyone?"
