a/n i know drew's mom's name is jodi, but i really want to respect her privacy since her account on instagram isn't public. so, for the sake of this story, her name is going to be jen. <3
-- When Friday rolled around, I was still nervous about hanging out with Drew's family. We weren't really a couple, but we definitely had a lot of chemistry. What were we going to say when they asked about our relationship?
I had packed a duffel bag and a backpack. I figured that would be enough. If not, I could easily share with Drew.
I found myself at Drew's apartment door. He lived only a level below Rudy, Chase, and I. It was nice living in the same apartment complex as our friends, we could all easily hang out.
I checked the time on my phone one last time before knocking. It was exactly 6 pm when I knocked.
"Hey." Drew smiles when he opens the door.
My heart flutters a bit when I notice the boy is shirtless-- and very wet.
"Sorry, I just took a shower."
"Oh. No, it's fine."
"Okay. I'm gonna get dressed. Then, we can put our bags in the car and go to my mom's house." Drew explains. "Sound good?"
"Yup." I nod.
He smiles and walks towards his bathroom. I find a spot on his beanbag chair.
I scrolled through Instagram and TikTok while waiting for the blonde boy to finish getting ready.
It took about 15 minutes for him to get ready. It felt like I was waiting for a girl.
"Ready?" Drew questions.
"Ready." I nod.
Our plan was to drive to Drew's mom's house tonight. Then, tomorrow we would drive to the campsite with his family.
