TEN YEAR OLD MAEVE CAROLYN SLOAN WAS MISSING HER FATHER, mark everett sloan. he had left her with her mother, myleen, while he went off to seattle. maeve didn't know the exact details, seeing as mark didn't bother to tell her. but the green eyed brunette didn't need to be told anything, to realize that he had went to chase after addison montgomery. the same woman he betrayed his best friend, derek shepherd

"maeve" myleen sighs as she walks into her daughter's room only to see her still wide awake at midnight "what did i tell you?" she asks as she leans against the wall with her hands crossed on her chest

maeve fights the urge to roll her eyes, not wanting to get in trouble. despite it being almost five years since mark had to share joint custody with myleen, maeve still was not fully comfortable with her "to go to sleep" she mumbles as she had her phone in her hand

"i told you that ten minutes ago, why aren't you asleep yet?" she asks sternly

"because i miss my dad" she says with a slightly frown "can i please call him, i promise i'll go to sleep right after" she tells her mother with a plead

myleen looked at maeve's alarm clock that was placed on her night stand, new york is a three hour difference compared to seattle. seeing as it was midnight, it would only be nine p.m in seattle "fine" myleen gave in "but after that call you go straight to bed, understand?" she argues, knowing tomorrow was a school night

"thank you! thank you! thank you!" a huge smile curved on maeve's lips. myleen couldn't help but let out a smile as well, before walking out of her room to grab a glass of water for herself

back in seattle, washington mark sloan was sitting at a table at the bar, watching as addison montgomery stroded in "you missed your plane?" she asks with folded arms

"grounded on account of bad weather" mark replied as he rest a hand on the chair to his left

"it's a cloudless sky. that happens like, twice a year in seattle" addison replies with a shrug
