Mr Bamidele sat opposite his daughter. He had a Christian book in his hand. She had told him she wanted to talk to him. She had come back to the sitting room after putting the twins to sleep.

"What do you want to talk about Tiwalola?" He asked studying her every move with his eyes.

She sucked in her lower lips between her teeth before answering.

"Dad, do you intend on going back to work for Demilade?"

He furrowed his brow and asked. "I already told you, yes. Why do you ask?"

"Your new job doesn't pay well? So you..."

"Lola, do you have something you want to say? Go straight to the point."

She was quiet for a while before she finally said.

"Daddy, I am now dating Demilade." She said and she stared at him to see his reaction. His face was blank of any. "Daddy."

"Do you mean you've signed another contract with him?" He asked calmly but his tone was a bit harsh.

"No no. Not contract dad. A real relationship. He asked me out properly. Not a deal or contract like the first time."

"And what do you say?" He asked.

"Yes." She answered with a frown.

"Yes? You said yes. Do you know who Mr Demilade is? Do you know what kind of man he is? Do you have any idea how powerful he is?" He asked.

"I know dad."

"He is my boss Lola. I never like the idea of you going to leaving with a man that you were not married to and now you want to date a man who is very different from you. Do you even think about all of this before saying you want to date a billionaire? So you are now blinded by all his money and wealth and you think you've hit a jackpot when he asked you out. Do you think he will like you? How are you so sure he even likes you? He might probably want to continue the deal and he doesn't know how to ask you."

"Dad, it's not that way." She tried defending Demilade.

"Then explains it to me Tiwalola. Explain. You know a man in just more than thirty days and you want to start dating him. Do you know that working for him is what puts food on the table? And you said you want to date him. If he decides to leave you tomorrow, how do you think we will survive?"

"He is not going to leave me, dad." She disagreed. She doesn't want to even think about such a thing when their relationship just started.

"Don't tell me that rubbish Tiwa. I don't want to hear it. Do you think people like him date people like you? You should be wiser than that."

"Dad, stop saying that. I'm human too. I won't be like this forever. And it's not impossible for him to like someone like me. I know he likes me. He really does dad." She said as her eyes swelled with tears. "We are humans, aren't we? Not like he was born rich either. He was just like us too before you know... things change."

"But he isn't anymore. He is different from us now. Grow up, Lola. Stop playing with your heart. You should be smarter than this Tiwalola. He might be fooling you and you are falling right into his trap."

"I'm not falling into any traps daddy. I like Demilade."

"You like him?" He huffed. "How long have you known him? Just because you live with him for thirty-plus days you think you know him and that you like him. I warned you. You have been blinded by all those sweet words, money and good life. You have forgotten your place, Lola. I don't expect this from you."
