He chuckled. "Your mouth is razor-sharp. But thanks for the concern. I'm fine."
"Alright if you say so."
They talked about other things for a while and he was grateful that she could help him forget about his problems for the time being. His friend had been right, it felt so good to have someone to share problems with and who also cares about them.
He had just started dating Lola for real but he could already count himself lucky.
"Lola." He called when she finished talking about something.
"Hmm." She sounded as a reply.
"We should go on a proper date. A real date."
"I will love that."
"That's good to know. I have to go back to work tomorrow. I have been away from work for some time now. So weekend. Is it okay with you?" He asked.
"Sure. I'm okay with it."
"Alright. I will ask my driver to pick you up on Saturday."
"Okay."
"You should go back to your family. I have taken you away from them for a while now. Don't let them turn my praise into a curse." He heard her chuckles. "I will call you tomorrow."
"I'll be expecting it." She answered. "I miss you, you know."
He smiled. "I'm missing you too. The house feels so empty, now that you left. But I will manage. Sleep tight."
"You too. And dream of me."
He laughed. "That will definitely happen. Goodnight."
"Goodnight." She said before she hung up.

ola sat staring at her phone for a while. She enjoyed her conversation with Demilade. She had contemplated calling him when she got home and she had to force herself not to because she don't want to be too forward. Her relationship with Demilade just started and don't want to seem like a clingy girlfriend.
She waited for his call but there never came. So she decided to call him.
Although, she was glad to be back with her family but she was missing him already.
She stared at his pictures which she had sent to her own phone with a smile on her face.
There came a small knock on her room door and before she could answer the door knob turned and the door opened. And her brother walked right in. He had a silly grin on his face.
"You are still awake. Don't you have school tomorrow?" Lola asked him as he approached her.
"I do. But I am not a baby that I will be in bed by this time. It's too early to go to bed." He retorted.
"Whatever. Have the twins finished eating?"
"Yes. Dad is talking with them." He answered and he lay laid on the bed with her, with his head on his sister's thigh.
"What's the meaning of this? C'mon, take your big head away from my thigh." She said shaking her legs slightly.
"Sis chill." He said tapping her feet. "I'm not going to break your leg or Is it only your new boyfriend that is allowed to do it?"
She hit him with a pillow and he just burst into laughter.
"You're crazy."
"I'm not." He disagreed. "You were talking with him before I came in right?"
