"If I gets in troubles Mr.Bubbles I no going to be your friend." She declared for the umpteenth time to her blue torn at the left side missing his left eye twice forgotten at the playground teddy bear as she held him in her arms while walking down the big white hallway away from her mommy who was talking on the phone. Hannah Reed at the age of 4 never thought that she would be embarking on a journey where no 4 year old had ever gone before. She knew it was dangerous and that she could get into trouble but after hearing what her mommy Ava had said to her Aunt Zoey about how she wanted to have a friend again she had decided to take matters into her own hands. She was going to give her mommy a boyfriend. She had thought hard and long about who would be her new mommy's boyfriend but after not getting anywhere she had asked Mr.Bubbles who said that the dimpled dude would be perfect. She then thought about how she had witnessed her mommy looking at the dimpled dude every time they came to see Aunt Zoey who mommy said was having a baby. She remembered how she had heard them using big words that she had never heard of and when she had asked her mommy what they meant she had told her that when she was older she would tell her. That was all the proof that she needed and so with the help of her best friend Tia they made a plan to unite her mommy with the dimpled dude. Finally after what felt like eons she finally reached the same door where the dimpled dude lived in the big white hospital. Holding Mr.Bubbles and the important letter she had gotten written from Tia's older sister who was in grade 7 in one hand,she lifted her free right hand, stood on her toes and turned the door handle opening the door.
She peered from behind the door and saw him lying on the big black sofa with his eyes closed. "Shhh Mr.Bubbles dimpled dude ish shleeping sho don't makes noisy" Unfortunately for her whispering was an unknown concept and due to her loud voice dimpled dude woke up. "I tolded you Mr.Bubbles no noisy you awaked dimpled dude!" "It's okay Hannah don't blame Mr.Bubbles I was going to get up anyway." "But it not good. Mr.Bubbles shay shorry!" she said while putting the important letter down onto the freshly cleaned grey carpet and holding up Mr.Bubbles towards his face making Mr.Bubbles say sorry. He smiled looking at her and couldn't help but giggle. She was so cute just like her mother. She had the same brown eyes and long black hair and that small tint of pink in her cheeks. He then noticed the white folded piece of paper lying on the ground and wondered what it was but before he could even move his hand down to pick it up Hannah had beaten him to it and picked it up. Taking a deep breath Hannah slowly walked towards the once sleeping dimpled dude and sat down beside him. He looked at her puzzled as she climbed up the sofa with her teddy bear and the piece of paper still in her hands but before he could even say or do anything she spoke up looking him in the eye.
"Dimpled dude I shorry for awaking you but I had to give you dis" she said as she extended her tiny hand towards him holding the folded piece of paper for him to take. He looked at her still puzzled and unsure but from the look of determination on her face he took the piece of paper from her and unfolding it read what was written.
DIMPLED DUDE MY MOMMY LIKES YOU.WILL YOU BE HER BOYFRIEND?
If he didn't think she was cute before then he did now. How cute was she? She was asking him to be her mommy's boyfriend and that too at her age. He himself had thought about asking her mother out but had never gotten the guts to do it but here a child at the age of 4 was doing what he wanted to do for the past few days. Dylan Banks for the first time had come across a child at such a young age who wanted to help her mommy find love and that's when he realized that life was to short to wait for things to happen on there own and so with a new sense of determination he held out his hand for her to hold and getting up from the big black sofa went off in the hopes of becoming her mommy's new boyfriend.
