When we first met

I just moved into this new house in this court and I've seen some kids here and there but I'm so awkward and I couldn't ever be friends with them cause I don't know how to! Anyways I'm stuck in this house and I can't go to school or softball!! Ughhh!

Y/n come down stairs real quick! My mom yells from the living room. As I walk down stairs my mom is looking out the window. "Mom what happened?" Your brother is hanging out with the neighbors you should go out there!" "No mom I don't know what to even say it's going to be so weird!" "Please y/n go outside and stay out there for a bit and after a few minutes if it gets awkward then come in" my mom says with a smile. "Fine I'll go!" I say with hesitation. As I go out me and the kid that looks my age make eye contact. We sit there for about 2 seconds and then I look away becsue I got nervous. He was pretty cute if I'm being honest and he looked about my age! I walk out of my garage and go near the sidewalk where they are all playing basketball. I sit on the sidewalk and watch them play and it felt weird. Then all of a sudden I hear someone say "hey umm I was just offering if you can try to make this hot right here and if you can then your good if you can't you gotta run around the court one time." I look up and it was the cute boy. I said "uhh sure!" I do it and I miss. "All right one lap" he's says laughing. I say "haha okay fine!" After that he start asking a million questions which I loved!! And I learned his name was y/c. And we were talking for hours until it stated to get dark and my parents called me in. I check the time and it was already 8:30! I'm going to love this!!

*A few weeks later*
We've been hanging out for a while and I think I started to catch feelings for him! I mean who wouldn't he's super nice super cute and plays baseball!!! Bonus! Then right away he asks me if I have a crush! It's like he can read mu mind!! I say ya I do have a crush! And he says "oh cool me too!" Then all of a sudden he pops the question! "Who is it?" I freeze and say "you say your first" he said okay and said "her name is kelsie!" She plays softball and is really pretty but she's in 8th grade" I stop and look at the ground and he says okay your turn! And I don't have any words and don't know what to say. I say "ummm can I just give you hints" because at that point I just wanted to give up and cry. He said "fine go ahead" I say " he has dirty blond hair green eyes plays baseball and is in middle school and that's all I'm saying" he said "okay I think I know who it is!" I freeze again and say "really?!?" And he was like "ya!" So I just sit there and then my mom calls me in. I said "okay I gotta go see you tomorrow!" And he said "bye see you!" I walk up to my room and I get a ft call! I was confused and I see it was from him!!! I answer immediately! "Hello?" "Hey y/n so you know how I said that I liked someone named kelsie well ya that was a lie!" He says smiling. "What it was?!?" I say say wanting to have a big smile! "Ya it's actually you I was just too nervous to say" he says smiling. I say "well I like you too!" And I instantly regret it but he smiled and it made me feel better. We talked for another 2hrs and the next day I go out and I want to drop to the floor crying of embarrassment and saddness after what he told me while riding our bikes.
