After running a long distance, we found Mr Wilson's car.

I realised we had circled all around the forest and had reached a place we'd already been to.

I didn't have much time to think.

I handed Mars over to Amelia.

"Get in," I told Amelia, pointing towards the car.

"As if you can drive." Amelia shrugged.

"Just get in!" I shouted as they were catching up.

Amelia didn't argue anymore and got onto the seat beside the driver's seat.

I got in the driver's seat and started the car.

Thankfully, the car was still okay and wasn't damaged.

I drove like a professional.

I slightly glanced at Amelia, to see her mouth wide open.

"Shook huh?" I smirked.

"... You can drive?!!" Amelia was dumbfounded.

Her shock was obvious, I mean it's not normal for a kid to be able to drive.

I always used to pay close attention to dad's movements, whenever he drove.

I even drove alone in our backyard once, without anyone knowing.

I told Amelia about this, surprising her again.

Surprisingly, I'd been good at driving from the beginning and had never caused any trouble.

It's like I'd been created for this.

Okay, okay, gotta stop with the bragging.

But yeah, that's how I had learnt how to drive.

I knew it was illegal for a literal 10-year-old to drive, but it was a life-death option after all, and it was the right moment to make use of my skills.

"Isn't it kinda obvious for you to be so good? I mean, you're MY brother after all." Amelia said, getting on my nerves.

I sighed.

She really can't compliment me once!

Suddenly, in a distance, I could see a huge rock lying in the middle of the road.

"That's it. We're dead. There's no way you can avoid it." Amelia said, slightly closing her eyes.

I smirked and turned the steering wheel hard, perfectly dodging the rock.

I looked at Amelia with a proud smile.

Her jaw dropped again, seeing us perfectly fine.

"Unbelievable..." she was stunned.

An hour passed.

"Hey. Check if they're still chasing us." I told Amelia.

She looked at the window in the back.

"No. There's no one," she told.

"It could be a trick. We shouldn't get off the car yet." I suggested.

"Mom and dad are gonna be okay right?" Amelia was worried.

"Don't worry. We'll find them soon." I assured.

Another hour passed.

It's almost as if the clock had been running on a treadmill.

Pretty lame joke hah?

Well anyway, it was getting dark and the car was on the verge of breaking down.

"Shit, this car's about to stop." I was trying not to panic.

"WHAT?!!" she shouted.

Not even a minute passed of me saying that, and the car stopped mid-way.

The car did help us a lot, we got close to the place where I had told mom and dad to hide, and we regained some strength for running.

I pulled off the car.

We both got off and... I'm sick of saying this, but there we go, we were being chased again.

"Didn't I tell you earlier it was just their trick?" I told Amelia.

"Are they even humans...?!" Amelia spits out angrily, holding Mars.

"I doubt so. Humans can't have this much patience." I said with my teeth clenched, irritated as heck.

One question kept roaming around in my mind. 'When are we actually gonna escape from this hell?'

Well, the answer to that is unpredictable.
