It has been hours since you arrived, and frankly, you were having the time of your life! you were currently playing ludo with everyone. " theses rules are too confusing!" Andrew would sulk but Hailey was quick to respond with a

" then maybe pay attention instead of chomping on all those unhealthy snacks!" Andrew would then stare at Hailey, pretending to be offended ( though she was right about the snacks part, as his arm was lodged down a bag of cheesacle at the time.) you really could help but laugh. it was only then when you looked at your phone, jeez!? 12:00 AM!?

"oh wow, time fly!" you comment out loud. this causes the rest to look at the time well, and sure enough, it was truly midnight.

"I need to get going, my parents are going to kill for being out this long..." she stood up from the ground a placed her phone in her pocket.

"Okay, but who won? we didn't finish our game!" Ellie said.

" pretty it was (y/n)"

"Yeah!" you cheered yourself. you start to stand as well and say your goodbye when Ellie looks shocked at whatever is on ger and says "a-actually, I need to go as well, there's something I need to attend and I want to be early" she tries her best to crack a smile.

"but isn't this a little too early?" you pressed

"Nah, I need to to be like, super early!"

"...okay" once all of you get outside Hailey strolls to the left while you two walk in the opposite direction." so, where are you going?"

"to the square"

"really? where I live isn't too far off"

"IT ISN'T!? t-then maybe we can walk to your place together" you thought about it, it'll let be closer to your crush not to mention you never liked walking alone in the middle of the night anyway.

"sure!" though the rest of the walk was mostly silent, it was a pleasant kind of silent with small conversation breaking it occasionally.

you where now at your place Ellie gazes at it as it's something impressive not long before running sheepishly off. "I wonder what she up too..."

she finally came, though I guess I  shouldn't be impatient when I did call her in the middle of the night." I'm here!" she's clearly tired, panting and everything, let's hope she's still some energy to spare." why call in the middle of the night!?"

"Trust me, I wouldn't if this was a normal mission, but this, this is something else"
