"So are we going to have this conversation when he actually dies?! Are you going to want him to live forever?! We all do! But there is going to be a day where we can't save him!" I yell back. "Are you scared of becoming Commander after him?!"

"What if I am?! You're right. There is a day where everyone will eventually die and we can do nothing about it - but this is not Erwin's time yet." Hange answers. "Come on. Let's go."

She lets go of me and I don't even bother to attack Floch again. She helps me to stand up again and she grabs me around my waist with one arm.

She tries to take me further away but I stand my ground and stay where I am. I watch Levi as he makes his way to Erwin with the needle. I then look over at Armin, who was just barely breathing.

I look back towards Levi and I see him looking at me with sad eyes. I shake my head slightly and he looks away.

"We need to get going, (Y/n)." Hange tells me.

"Levi." I call out to him. "Have you ever heard of the sea? Armin used to talk about it all the time. It stretches as far as you can see and it is salty. He had a dream of going to visit it one day and we all agreed to go with him."

Levi doesn't say a word and neither do I. I watch as he brings the needle to Erwin's arm and is about to inject it - but to my surprise something spectacular happened.

Erwin slapped the injection away from his arm. I immediately got the idea of what is happening.

I bow my head slightly. "He doesn't want it." I whisper.

"What was that (Y/n)?" Hange asks.

"He doesn't want the injection!" I yell at Levi.

"Huh?" He hums back.

"He doesn't want to be a Titan! Cant you see?! He is tired! He wants to rest!" I struggle in Hange's grasp.

"Stay here." Hange tells me as she lets go of me.

I fall to my knees as steam rises from my head again. "He wants to be at peace..." I say.

I didn't know whether to feel happy or sad or excited or depressed or anything else. I felt a couple tears run down my cheek but then I felt a feeling of comfort overcome me.

"Advance to the fullest of your life." A phrase entered my head like someone was talking to me. I know exactly who is telling me that.

I look up and see Hange inspecting the Commander's eyes. "He's dead. He died a few seconds ago." She says.

Mine and Levi's eyes widen.

"If I was only a tiny bit quicker." Levi says to himself.

I start to giggle which slowly turns into laugh. I don't know why I am laughing. I don't even know what I am doing.

"What the hell are you laughing about?" Levi asks me. I look up at him and tears start to stream down my face. I have no control over what I am doing or going to do.

"Can you really believe that Erwin didn't want to live?" I laugh sadly. "I don't know all the details but it sound pathetic to me. He wanted to die so badly he even refused to be revived! I might as have well killed him in the beginning!"

I watch as Levi and Hange stare at me intensely. I didn't mean any of that to be said but I couldn't bring myself up to say sorry. It was like something was controlling me and restricting me from saying anything from my own will. If I continue to say things like this, Levi will kill me. Erwin and him were very close as friends.

"Don't tell me you actually meant that (Y/n)." Hange says with a stern voice.

Levi studies my face inch by inch. "That's not (Y/n)." he says.

"What do you mean?" Hange asks. Levi whispers into her ear and she gasps.

I stand up and look at them both. "The truth hurts doesn't it." I say.

Hange stands up and walks towards me in a rush. She picks me up with her arm under my legs and back - bridal style. "I'm going to hold you for now so you can stay safe. We don't want you getting hurt now do we?" she asks.

"I can look after myself." I say. I started to slowly gain control of my actions again. She jumps onto the next roof with me in her arms.

"I know you can. I'm just taking extra precaution." she says. She turns around so I can't see anything that is happening behind her - where Levi was.

Boom!

There was a loud bang coming from behind Hange. The ground started shake violently for a second or two before a loud roar emerged.

"What is happening?" I ask out of my will. I had regained control again.

"I am not quite sure." she tells me while turning around. I turn around with her too and see dust flying around.

There was a blonde titan walking around. I couldn't tell whether it was Erwin or Armin since they were both blonde. Levi jumps onto the roof that me and Hange were on.

"I made my decision." he says. I look at him in regret of what I had said earlier.

"Please put me down." I ask Hange.

"That is the first time I have ever heard you use genuine manners." Hange says. "I'll put you down only because you are being polite."

She lowers me down onto the rooftop tiles and I walk to Levi. I grab his hair and turn his head to face to me.

"I'm sorry, got it? I didn't know what I was saying back there." I tell him. I look away in disappointment.

"I knew something wasn't right about you. It's fine." Levi says. I let go of his hair and I stand next to him. We watch as the Titan makes its way to Bertholdt.

He was awake at this point and was quite aware of what was happening.  To know that he was my friend disgusted me - but I felt bad at the same time. He had such a kind heart and would always be there for his friends - but he is a traitor and is the reason for many deaths.

The Titan picks Bertholdt up and gradually brings him to his mouth. I didn't want to watch but I did anyway. I have never seen something like this before - a human that has been turned into a Titan and eat a Titan-shifter.

"No! Please no!" Bertholdt cries out. "I'm not ready to die! Not yet! Help me!" His head is placed on the titan's teeth. "Reiner! Annie! (Y/n)!" He calls out as he looks at me. I don't show any sign of emotion on my face to show how betrayed I feel.

The Titan bites down onto him - fully decapitating his head off - and continues to eat the rest of him. Blood splats everywhere. A drop lands on my cheek but I don't really care, but the thing that I do care about is who did the Captain save?"
