You never knew exactly how much you meant to me, right darling? You never knew the way your emotions pulled me down into the black sea with you? If only you knew how I wept along with those steady eruptions of yours; each one growing more deafening until your inevitable silence.

Now I lay with your rotting remains, patiently waiting until I disappear, too. Each of your sorrows and complaints dissolve into the ground with you, expecting to join the cesspool of the past underneath us. Some dissipate into me instead, adding to the agony of our shared heart.

I wince at the sight of you; your eyes have become so void of your soul. Our whole life dances in front of us while we lay on the dew-soaked grass, under the setting moon. Starlight reflects onto your eyes and into mine. I reach for your cold, dead hand and pray that I will soon be with you.

I hope I will see you, in whatever realm comes after this. Once I meet you there I will apologize for the way I've let you down all these years, and just maybe, you'll let me back into your own heart and soul, where we can fulfill each other once again.

Perhaps it would be better I tell you this myself, where we can weep in each other's arms and find some essence of closure. Wouldn't you like that, my love?
