Chapter 12: Round 2- The Beast v.s. Prince Charming

Start from the beginning

“Noah!  Can I talk to you for a second?” he shouted.

Noah stopped and didn’t bother to look back at his brother.  “I got to get to class, I’ll see you at home.”

I turned my head back to Brian who smirked and caught up to us, the brunette girl tagging along.

“Noah, come here,” said Brian.  I swear his right eye flinched for a second.

He stopped walking and kept his arm around me.  I forgot all about how close we were until now.  “What?” he snapped.

Brian let go of the red scarf girl and couldn’t help but smile at me.  “Hey, good morning Sleeping Beauty,” he said kissing my hand.

I smirked disgusted and tore my hand away.  “Don’t touch me, beast,” I spat, narrowing my eyes.

“I guess our shower together didn’t refresh you as I thought it would, love,” he joked, nudging me in the arm.

The brunette girl gasped and Noah turned to me with a blank expression.

My cheeks burned with frustration as I began to slowly crush the juice box in my hand.  The liquid squirted out of the straw and onto the brunette’s scarf.  She squealed and shot me an evil glare.

“I did not shower with you and I am not your love!” I said, ready to kill him.

“You showered with him?” asked Noah with a shocked look written on his face.

“No, not the way you think.  He pulled me in and sprayed me with cold water!  It was nothing like you think it is!” I stammered.

Brian chuckled and winked at me.  “I guess the Beauty woke up on the wrong side of the morning.  Did your alarm clock not go off?”

“Well, actually it didn’t.  How would you---” I eyed him carefully as a grin started to form on his face.  “You reset my alarm clock, didn’t you?  You wanted me to be late!”

He gave me a weird look.  “I would never do such a thing!”  I could tell behind his face was a smile.  That liar!

“You’re such a lying Beast!  Ugh, I hate you!” I said, poking his chest with anger.  It’s not like I could do anything to harm him. I could say far more worse but I promised Aunt Darby yesterday that I wouldn’t hurt the Daniel boys.

Brian chuckled.  “Love, as you know in fairytales, the Beast gets the Beauty in the end.”  He smiled and turned to Noah, “And the once the Beauty chooses the Beast, the prince dies, does he not, brother?”

I was about to interrupt until I couldn’t help but notice the look of hatred on Noah’s face.  Was he....no, he couldn’t.  Not over me.

“You know what, I’m just going to go.  I’ll see you guys in class,” I said, pulling away from Noah.  Just as I saw the look of joy on Brian’s face, I had to do something.  Just to push him over the edge.

I came back to Noah, grabbed him by the neck and kissed him.  Not full on make-out but short and sweet.  No tongue action, might I add.  I could tell he was surprised when I released my lips.  At the corner of my eye, I could see Brian curling into a frown as his eyebrows narrowed.
