"Okay, D. I'm gonna go wait in the Jeep, by all means go check on Scott. Just don't be too long. I really need to see Dina and JJ." Ellie said as she gave her brother a small smile before leaving.

Dylan picked up the note from the photograph and opened it, recognising Maddie's handwriting.
"Hey, Dylan. If you're reading this then you're alive. Thank God. Dina and I are back in Jackson with JJ. We had no other choice, especially with me in my current condition it was just the only choice we had, but obviously things might have been different if you had stuck around, but I won't delve into that. I know I freaked out on you before you left and I'm sorry. I know that your sister is everything to you and I shouldn't have gotten in between you two. I guess I was just hormonal or something. I really hope I see you soon. Love you always and forever, Maddie." Dylan read.
