Beomgyu knew there was no way he could let him know that he wasn't lying to him because all of that sounded totally impossible even to him. He stared into the younger's intense orbs, gulping down nervously before mustering up enough courage to speak in a timid tone, "I don't know, but I'm not lying. I've got the money in my house which was paid to me for helping him. The rest amount of the money should probably be given to me soon as well"
On the other side, Soobin was still in Yeonjun's room, sitting beside his unconscious body on the bed and gently patting the back of his hand and his knuckles with his frigid fingers. He had already cleaned up the wounds on his face and body and taken proper care of him, so now Yeonjun was laying under the blanket without any clothes on his upper body, and Soobin waited patiently for his revival.
Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any broken bones in his body when Soobin examined it and he just hoped that he wasn't wrong. He was looking at his pale face which was decorated with blue and purple bruises here and there and he was still the most beautiful thing Soobin had ever laid his eyes on. He always wondered how it would feel to touch him the way he wanted to because he had been in love with him for years and the furthest they had ever gone was making out. If Namjoon hadn't killed his parents on one cursed day, Yeonjun may even have been his now, but that terrible event changed him completely and he became emotionally distant from everyone since all he could think about was his revenge. Soobin would make sure to destroy Namjoon because of that, for disturbing their newly started relationship so soon, but Soobin wasn't losing hope. He knew he would get back his only love after giving him whatever he wanted and letting him see how his enemy would be ruined. Soobin had great plans for that because there was no way he was letting Yeonjun go so easily. He would do anything to win his heart.
"One day...", he spoke calmly as his eyes adored their intertwined hands, fitting each other like the missing piece to the puzzle, "One day I'll make you mine, Yeonjun"
He saw wrinkles forming across the older's forehead after flickering his gaze across him and his heart raced in excitement which started simmering in his chest. Yeonjun's mouth let out faint sounds of pain as his lips puckered out and his eyes slowly started to swing open, his body squirming slightly in his bed. The younger one felt a slight squeeze on his hand and he couldn't help his heart fluttering as he stared down at the boy with anticipation glistening in his brown orbs which were adoring his face lovingly.
"How are you feeling, hyung?"
Yeonjun whined in pain as he closed his eyes again and brought his hand up to his forehead to rub it intensely, not even noticing the younger's loving eyes on him. "I'm fine", he uttered, which was obviously a lie, but Soobin didn't let it irritate him, because Yeonjun was always like that - you would never see him saying his true feelings out loud.
"Here are the painkillers", Soobin said as he let go of his hand to reach for the pills on the nightstand, "Can you sit up a bit?"
Yeonjun didn't say anything as he swallowed heavily and pressed his palms against the mattress to move his body up into a sitting position, a frown of pain forming on his face in the process.
Soobin quickly grabbed his pillow and positioned it against the headboard that protected the older boy from pain when he slumped against the soft material instead of the hard and harsh one. His slightly shaky fingers moved to Soobin's one to take the pills from him and throw them into his mouth instead before the younger boy held the glass of water to his lips and Yeonjun gulped down the pills along with the liquid wholly.
He let out a heavy sigh after Soobin pulled the glass away from his colourless lips and placed it on the nightstand again, his anticipative eyes returning to the boy who had closed his eyes and trying to breathe calmly, but they flung open as soon as he felt the cold touch on his hand, causing him to retreat his hand instinctively straightaway. And it did hurt the younger's heart, and some hint of annoyance made him clench his jaw even though it wasn't the first time something like that had happened and the older acted in that cold and avoiding way with him. Soobin could never understand why Yeonjun couldn't just accept his love, and it did use to make the younger boy somewhat annoyed because he was doing everything for him, yet Yeonjun always used to ignore his care and love and sometimes even treated him like a piece of trash. The only reason why Soobin had been handling him and his attitude, was the hope that one day Yeonjun would manage to fall in love with him and he couldn't even notice how years passed in those expectations, yet he received nothing from him.
