"You wouldn't dare..." Mitchell groans as Gideon gives him a lopsided grin. Crossing his arms, Gideon leans back against the wall with an air of arrogance.
"Private, I order you to go over and say hello to her." Mitchell twitches and wants to refuse but the chain-of-command was clear... He has to go over there. Mitchell slowly begins to move over towards the young woman when Gideon stops him,
"Oh? And Mitchell? Don't forget to introduce yourself." Mitchell throws him a scalding glare that makes Gideon look away before he pisses him off by laughing. Mitchell moves over toward the young woman again. He stops a little bit away from her and quietly says,
"Exscuse me? Miss?" The young woman turns with large glowing brown eyes that show her surprise, hair cascades as brown curls over the front of her shoulders, and then there's those lips that Mitchell itched to taste... He forces himself to look back to her gaze.
"Can I help you with something Mr...?"
"Private Mitchell." Her face scrunches up thoughtully as she cocks her head to the side a little. She scans his face before speaking.
"Would you prefer I call you Mr. Mitchell? Just Mitchell? Or Private?" A blush deepens her cheeks and Mitchell feels his heart melt. This girl is beautiful! He offers her a smile that makes her eyes widen in awe. Mitchell blushes a little as she scans his face again with those beautiful brown eyes.
"Just call me Mitchell." A warm silence settles over the two as they simply stare at each other until she nods and offers him another beautiful blush. Her eyes widen and she sets her hands on her face.
"Oh! I didn't introduce myself." A laugh bubbles up out of her chest and Mitchell cannot help but to laugh along with her. She sets a hand on his arm in a friendly manner while smiling up at him.
"I'm so sorry." Mitchell shrugs a little with an assurance that he isn't offended.
"My name is Gabriella. It's awesome to meet you, Mitchell." The way his name sounds as it rolls off of her tongue makes Mitchell's heart soar to the stars. In that moment, he'd fallen for her and he knew he needed to have her as his girl. They shake hands and Gabriella smiles at the ground. She throws her hair over her shoulder on one side and fans herself with her hand.
"It's really warm in here..." Mitchell laughs a little and dips his head in agreement. She offers him a smile but her eyes show her discomfort.
"You're new here?"
"Yeah. I literally just got in a few hours ago."
"Well, if you like I could show you around? Then we could go out and get some fresh air. It smells bad in here." Another laugh bubbles out of her when he scrunches up his face and Mitchell feels himself wanting to do that every night.
"Let's go then!" She begins to walk off in a random direction. Mitchell bites the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing as she confidentantly walks off in the wrong direction.
"Gabriella?" She turns when Gideon calls out her name. She flashes him a grin and walks up to him. She gives him a friendly hug that has Mitchell watching in shock as they talk easilly.
"What is it?"
"You're going in the wrong direction." She laughs again but runs a hand through her hair. She fans herself again with her hand.
"Am I going to be stuck in here all day?" Gideon gives her a real smile as Mitchell walks over to them. He shakes his head no and she lets out a sigh of relief. He motions to Mitchell with his hand.
"He can show you around since there's nothing going down today."
"Let's go then! I need some air before this miasma of sweat and body odor makes me puke. Awe damn it! I think its settled into my clothes!!" Gideon rolls his eyes and motions for Mitchell and Gabriella to scurry off. Mitchell gives him a tortured look. Gideon bows his head to him and looks away. Mitchell takes a deep breath and leads Gabriella out of the building and into the future.
* Memory End *
Will gives his father a drull stare as he frowns deeply. His father pushes himself up from the table to get some more coffee.
"Annnd?" His father gives him a raised brow.
"Annnd what?" Will facepalms with a sigh.
"That cannot be all that happened."
"We're expecting me to ride her off into the sunset?" His son tries to hide a laugh and Mitchell rolls his eyes.
"Don't go there."
"I'm not going anywhere. Anyway, maybe not on a white horse or anything but, a tank! A helicopter! Anything." His fathers laughs deeply as Gabriella walks into the room. He greats her with a kiss on the cheek as Will watches them with amazement. He wanted what they had some day. That when they look at each other, a spark flys.
"What are you two talking about?"
"I asked dad how the two of you met."
"Oh? And what did he say happened?" William gives her the general sumarry while she smiles. She laughs a little before sitting at the kitchen table.
"That's the day you always tell people about and yet everytime I ask why, you never tell me why. You just give me that little knowing smile, yeah, that one on your face right now." Mitchell crosses his arms with that smile on his face.
"That my love, is the day that in a single moment you stole my heart." Gabriella's eyes widen as a blush colors her face. William watches as if he's watching a scene in a movie unfold in front of his eyes. His mother smiles down at the table before looking up at Mitchell.
"You stole my heart in a single moment too. I love you." Gabriella stands and moves over to her husband. She laces her fingers with his and gives him one quick kiss. Instead of being grossed out, Will is jealous. He wishes he could find his soul mate, the love of his life just like his parents.
"I hope I can find what you guys have some day." Mitchell laughs and ruffles his sons hair as he leaves the room. His mother kisses his cheek on the way out.
"You should probably go too a friends house." Will chokes on air with a grossed out look. Okay. Now that is gross! He nods his head and bolts out the front door. Thankfully he had his shoes on.
"Now where were we?" Mitchell laughs low in Gabriella's ear as he hugs her from behind. She giggles and leans back into him.
"I think we were here..." Gabriella turns in her husbands arms to give him a passinate kiss. Mitchell rests his forehead against hers with his eyes closed.
"Even after all these years, you still take my breath away." His only response is another small giggle and another kiss that shakes him to his core. He was never going to let go of this. Of her. Ever.
