"Great, he'll be over soon, bye" Vector finished as he put the phone away 

"vector, why the-" Espio began to yell angrily only to be gently but forcefully pushed to the door 

"as I said, you in desperate need of some fun, so I'll clean up here and you go have some fun, bye for now" Vector explained as he pushed the chameleon out and closed the door, smiling sweetly as he did so 

leaving Espio to simply stare at the door, contemplating what had actually just happened 

"he goes to all that trouble for this and he can't be bothered to simply clean the kitchen?" Espio questioned as he made his way to the blue blurs house 

as he finally arrived he couldn't shake the feeling of unease and embarrassment, he still couldn't believe that this was happening, what was sonic going to think of him after vectors stupid reason for his arrival  

"here we go" he whispered to himself as he knocked down 

almost instantly the door was yanked open, revealing the figure of the blue blur who had seemed genuinely happy and yet there was a smirk making his way upon his face 

"hey Espio, heard you free to come out and play" sonic commented with a definite smirk 

Espio simply began to walk away with a small blush before sonic grabbed his shoulder to bring him back, repeating an "I'm kidding I'm kidding" as the blue hedgehog laughed 

"come on, tails is busy in the lab so I could totally use a friend to hang out and practice my 7 ring speed dash with" sonic explained happily as he leads Espio to his garden 

"7 ring speed dash?" Espio questioned with interest 

"Here I'll show you" sonic stated as they finally arrived 

within the garden, there were 4 small differently coloured bean bags on 4 far away from each other tables while he took hold of 3 extra bean bags 

"it's something I've been working on" sonic continued as he saw Espio's curious eyes search his surroundings 

"on the tables, there's timers before the bags beg sucked into a little pocket in the tables and I throw the 3 extra bags in hand, the aim is by using my speed and wrap rings I'll be able to capture all 7 bags before they hit the floor or got sucked in" Sonic explained 

"ah, so a larger, more complicated similar of the ball and jacks game" Espio asked 

"oh, that's what it's called! honestly, I knew what it was but I didn't know the name, it been driving me crazy for ages" sonic said in relief and realisation, happy to get that the earworm reverberation  out of his head 

"anyway yeah, it's kinda the same" sonic laughed as he calmed down 

"even though I'm the fastest thing alive I can only get 3-4 which is annoying" sonic continued with a sheepish grin 

"most likely because you are also throwing the 3 bags, meaning you are giving yourself less time than suspected" Espio pointed out

"Yeah, that makes sense" sonic agreed 

"if you give them to me I'll throw them for you" Espio offered 

the blue blur agreed and gave the three bags to Espio ( them being yellow, purple and white) 

they set up the tables once again and Espio was placed in the middle to throw the bags in different directions fast (his ninja star training once again proving useful)
