The next day
Opening my eyes I yawn attempting to wake up fully. I check the clock by my bed and frown at the time. I'm late for work again.
I don't really care but my boss be trippin. I work at this cafe not to far from here called Los Feliz. Cleaning tables and serving coffee all that good stuff. It's not what I planned on doing but it keeps the bills payed.
I go to the bathroom to take care of my hygiene.
Once that's handled I grab my purse and phone then make my way out. Getting in my car I make sure to check my make up then pull off.
My phone rings scaring the hell out of me. I grab it and answer
'Hello'
'Hey boo, you on ya way to work?' DaySean asks
'Yeah girl late as always' I roll my eyes and she laughs
'Hm I meant to wake you up...'
'But ya boo thang was there I know' I cut her off
'Yeah' she laughs
'Yall two been getting serious huh?' I smirk
'Maybe, I don't know. Change the topic' she says by her tone I knew something was up
'Uh uh what happened, spill' I say
'He has a kid' I look at my phone shocked
'Really?'
'Yeah and I don't know if I can really handle it' she sighs
'Well, I don't see the problem. You like him right?'
'Yeah I do'
'Then see where this goes. Nobody said you had to play step mommy'
'How you always know what to say?'
'Ima genius' I smirk 'But anyway I just pulled up I'll call you later'
'K bye bae' she blows a kiss, I laugh hanging up
I get out of the car and make my way inside dreading the time I gotta spend here.
