My name is Misty Aquatic, I am an Inkling Girl that's half fox. I'm just a normal citizen living in Inkopolis, no hero no Goddess or anything, and most importantly no powers and magic.
You may be wondering, how did I end up with two tails and fox instincts? And the will to live like and as a fox still being part Inkling.
Well... it's a long story, but the results are worth it.
Well, it all started long ago....
Willa: Hmm... I sure hope this works, I've spent months creating this.. well, it's now or never. I'll just head over to my test subject right now and see what she thinks.
Willa walks over into the testing room, there was an aqua Inkling Girl, sitting in a chair being patient. Noticing Willa's arrival back, she perked up, ready for what would soon come next.
Misty: Howdy! Back already?
Willa: Tsk.. yes girl, I'm back. Ready to help me with this?
Misty: Of course! What is it?
Willa: It's a potion I've been developing for months. Based off of one mammal species from the wild, I gathered it's DNA and extracted it's instincts as well to put into this.
Misty: So you're saying I'm going to drink it's blood for something to happen?
Willa: Well, it's not exactly blood, but it does look like it. Here, why not give it a whirl.
Misty: Sure!
Willa hands Misty the small cup of potion, then takes her clipboard ready to write down information about what happens to Misty. She gives the signal, letting Misty know she's allowed to drink it already.. and she does. She's sitting patiently waiting for something to happen, Willa comes a bit closer, starting to ask some questions.
Willa: Alright Misty, do you feel anything changing?
Misty: Not yet... probably will take some time to– *cough cough*
Willa: Misty! What's wrong!?
Misty: I- I don't know..!?
Suddenly, two tails started growing behind her, attaching itself to her. Her fangs got a few inches longer and sharper, and soon enough.. fur began to grow on her belly and chest. Her feet actually became white furry paws, with pink paw pads underneath. Some very sharp claws to go along with it. Misty has successfully transformed into a Foxling, which means Willa's experiment for her and her partner was a huge success!
Misty: Uwaa... I feel dizzy.. and kinda strange.. why does it feel like I'm wagging tails?
Willa: You are though, you transformed into a new species called a "Foxling". The term of being a new Inkling hybrid being mixed in with a wild animal.
Misty: Wow this is so cool! So how long will I stay like this for?
Willa: That's...... a good question..... I'm actually not sure of the consequences of it, but I'll figure it out. Give me a few minutes if you will.
Misty: That's fine, take all the time you need.
