Gina and Elaine looked at the cell phone on the coffee table in front of them. They could see Dylan’s name on the screen.

“Its Dylan,” Gina said sadly.

“You want to answer it?” Elaine asked her.

Gina shook her head.

“I can’t. I can’t talk to him right now.”

Elaine grabbed the phone.

“Well I can.”

She pressed talk.

“Hello.”

“Gina?”

“No, this is Elaine,” she said, coldly.

“Oh, hi, Elaine. This is Dylan. I was won …”

Elaine cut him off.

“I know who it is. What do you want?” she demanded.

Dylan hesitated because of the sound of her voice.

“I was wondering if I could talk to Gina.”

“Really?”

“Oh, okay, I get it.”

Dylan started to laugh.

“You are getting me back for that morning at Gina’s apartment. I told you she put me up to it.”

“This has nothing to do with that morning,” Elaine said coldly.

“You know fucking well what this is about.”

Dylan was speechless.

“So,” Elaine snapped back, quickly.

“Cat got your tongue?”

“No,” Dylan answered, meekly, “and I don't have a clue what is going on here. Could I please speak to Gina.”

“Gina doesn’t want to speak to you.”

“Really?” Dylan asked, puzzled.

“Can I ask why?”

Elaine laughed sarcastically.

“Fuck, you’re good. So cool.”

Dylan was starting to get irritated.

“Elaine, I don’t have a clue why you are talking to me like this. I just wanted to talk to Gina and ask why she didn't come to the hotel.”

“Oh, she was there. You prick.”

Dylan was shaking his head in disbelief and trying to keep his cool.
