☕ Barbatos x Female Reader - Tea Time ☕

(imagine it as a table for two, but the aesthetic is much the same)

Lights adorned the forest, making the spot feel so welcoming and cozy. Barbatos had learned of my love for Alice in Wonderland and tried his best to bring to life that fantasy setting. His attention to detail was immaculate and I observed the vintage pieces here and there. From tea kettles, to books, to flowers, birdcages, teacups, plates, and more. I felt my face smile widely in my absolute happiness. Our table was filled with moss, trailing across it as a table runner. Tea set in place, with Barbatos' baked goods served and waiting to be devoured. 

Beel would be so jealous. 

I quickly turned around and threw myself at Barbatos, causing him to widen his eyes a bit at my surprise attack. He laughed lowly and returned the hug, wrapping his arms around my back. 

Tilting his head slightly, he looked down at me with soft viridian eyes. "Is it to your liking Y/N?" He asked. 

"I freaking love it!!" I squealed at him. I'm not sure what possessed me in the moment to be so bold, but I tip toed myself up to him and planted a gentle and lingering kiss on his cool cheek. As I settled back down, I could see his cheeks flush red and he averted his eyes. 

Feeling embarrassed, I giggled behind my hand. "Sorry. I got too excited." 

One of his hands lifted, his fingers lightly touching the spot I kissed. His lips forming a small smile. "No need to apologize. I must admit, I quite enjoyed it." He bravely admitted. 

His admission made my face heat up again. Barbatos elegantly strode forward and offered his arm to me. "Shall we, my lady?" 

Smiling, I nodded and coiled my arm around his. "We shall, my good sir."

We both chuckled and we began to enjoy our tea and sweets, surrounded by nature, the moon and stars. We spoke of our day, Alice in Wonderland, the future of Devildom and the other two realms, and more. We chatted away to our heart's desire. 

Barbatos had even brought along a record player. The two of us swayed together and danced to some sweet melodies. I couldn't accurately describe to you what it felt like to be in his arms. As we danced he looked at me such adoration and affection. One lingering question repeated itself in my mind. 

Does he feel the same way I do? 

The longer we danced the more our bodies were pressed together. What started out quite modest, turned into that of a newly weds' first dance. I laid my head against his chest. The sound of his heartbeat, an alluring euphony. Everything felt so right in this moment. When Barbatos tightened his arms around me and laid his cheek on top of my head, my arms slithered up his chest and wrapped themselves behind his neck. A content sigh escaped me when one of his hands trailed up my back to then entangle itself in my hair as it laid against the back of my neck pulling me closer to him.

When it came down to enjoy the perfect solitude he had expertly provided within the forest, we sat down together on the couch he had managed to set up here. We held hands as we stared at the stars above. There was one thing I wanted to try with the demon, but I hesitated. When he noticed me struggling, he quietly inquired if anything was wrong. I shook my head quickly to reassure him. I sat there debating with myself.

Barbatos POV:

Barbatos' focus on the night sky was disrupted at the feel of fabric being pulled from his fingers. The sensation of another's skin on his own, causing him to stare at Y/N in wonder. She offered him a sweet bashful smile, her palms carefully cradling his hand as her E/C eyes admired his long and slender fingers and perfectly manicured deep green nails. She trailed her soft fingertips down each of his digits, loving the feel of his soft pale skin. 

Little did he know of just how long she truly yearned to hold his hand in hers. 

She continued her gentle ministrations, turning his hand over until she was met with his palm. She repeated the same movements on his hand. 

Barbatos shivered with each trail her fingers left behind. Her touch awakening his senses with every tingle. The feelings he kept hidden for the better part of the year, threatening to release. To Barbatos it was torture, while at the same time, her touch was of great comfort and relief. His contrasting thoughts fought against one another.

Y/N POV:

I didn't realize what my caresses were doing to the demon. Viridian eyes swept over my features sporadically. When I looked back down at our hands, I missed his focus settling on my smile. It was over for me as soon as I courageously intertwined my cool fingers between his warm ones.

It all happened so fast, all I could do was let out a surprised yelp. Barbatos pulled me against him. Our chests pressed against each other's tightly. His arm securing my position. Our intertwined hands lifted, causing me to peer up at him curiously. Once our eyes met, I was trapped in his hypnotizing stare. He held me captive with his half-lidded gaze. He leaned forwards ever so slowly his head angling itself as he reached me closer and closer. My sight switched to meet his lips instead. Closing our eyes, we finally closed the gap and our lips met in a sweet and graceful kiss. 

This was officially the best tea time ever.
