"And I'm trying to subtly avoid it!" Jake growled in frustration trying to get Mia's attention despite how much she didn't want to continue.
"Come on please?" Jake asked gently putting on hand on her shoulder. Taking that as a sign to go Mia shrugged her shoulder going back inside the bar to work. Jake didn't want to go inside and cause a scene which is why he asked for Mia outside. Taking it as a sign to stop he left out for his home. He used to stay in her place but he had a feeling he would need it so he kept the apartment.
Back with Mia
She couldn't believe him. The sheer nerve of it all. She found out that he cheated on her and he left for that reason. She felt didn't feel as heartbroken as she thought she would. She went back behind the bar taking orders and pouring drinks for customers when one of her male friends Wellis arrived. Broad shoulders, fit built and everything for a football player in college. She met Wellis in the library studying biometrics for bioengineering. Kind of odd for someone so well rounded for football.
"Hey Mia been a while" He smiled getting a glass of fresh water. He drank it down slowly keeping his eye on Mia letting some of the water slide down the side of his face down to his next. Mia always stared at him when he does that. She gets so lossed in how something so small could be so effective on her. It worked a few times when they got in bed together. It just happens.
"My shift ends soon for the night." She says dropping every kind of conversation they were about to have. Wellis smirked and stayed in his seat for the rest of the night occasionally making small talk with others who happened to be around. He was always the type people would gravitate towards. Once your near him it's often hard to pull away.
Not to long after that's how Mia found herself in Wellis bed covered in sweat and laying on his chest.
While Jake had girl snuggled close to him sleeping as if nothing ever happened. One thing ran through both Jake nd Mia's mind.
I don't need him/her since I already cheated on him.
