She had already taken her mind off it thinking he didn't want to answer. But he did.
"It is just like Lagos. But bigger than Lagos. It's also more busier and populated than Lagos. It's a wonderful place. An ultra-modern city. You could be opportune to see it one day."
"I hope so." She hoped and she dug her hands into the pocket of the coat. Demilade just watched her as she walked beside him looking at the sands, the sea and the sky randomly.
It was odd seeing his coat on her but it was nice too. And he liked it.
Lola could feel Demilade eyes on her and it made her wonder why he was looking at her. It made her a little uncomfortable but at the same time, it felt beautiful. Sitting down with him to talk wasn't anything she planned or hoped for that day but it turned out to be a sweet thing to do.
Chatting with Demilade in front of a sea under the half moonlight was enough to make her day. And it had felt like they were really couples and there were no boundaries between them.
The smell of him and the cologne on his coat was a nice alluring scent. And she was so sure the scent will invade her thoughts and also her dreams later.
She wished the moment will last forever. She wished the magic will never stop or the night not end. She wanted to keep this memory forever.

When they got home, everyone was still awake. They were sitting in the living room watching a Yoruba movie.
"How was your day? You had a long day." Grandma Grace asked after they had exchanged pleasantries.
They smiled. "It was fine," Lola replied. Demilade nodded in agreement and he sat down beside his grandmother.
"I'm so thirsty," Lola said and she excused herself to go to the kitchen so she could quench her thirst.
"How was your day grams?" Demilade asked his grandmother.
"It was good. And how was your day with Lola? Hope you have both solved the issue between you?"
He nodded. "Yes. It's nice to be back to normal." It was just a half lied. At least, the awkwardness had reduced or wasn't there anymore, between them.
"I'm glad to hear that. It's not a new thing for couples to quarrel but they should learn how to understand each other, forgive and move on." She advised.
"Yes." He shakes his head in agreement. Then he looked around when he noticed his mother wasn't in the living room. It was too early for her to be in bed when there is a Yoruba movie airing. "Where is mommy?" He asked no one in particular.
"She is in the room."
"Is she doing something there or she is sleeping?"
"I'm not sure." His grandmother answered.
He stood up and went in the direction of his mother's room. Something had been off with her lately. He thought and he hoped to find out what it was.

Demilade returned to the room. Lola had changed and was laying, cuddled on the bed facing the glass wall. She turned her head to glance at him when he walked in.
"How is your mom?" She asked looking away.
"She is fine." He replied. "Are you cold?"
"A little." She replied. He walked over to her front.
"Maybe we should turn on the heater." He said.
She shakes her head. "Don't worry, I'm fine. It will get too hot when it is on. Moreover, I'm sleepy already." She yawned lightly. And he chuckled.
"Okay. Your eyes already looked tired." She nodded closing her eyes. "I had a great time today." He said.
She opened her eyes slowly. "Me too. Thank you."
"Thank you too. Go to sleep." She nodded, closing her eyes again. "Good night." He stares at her sleeping face for a while before he pecked her on the forehead not caring if she might still be awake. Then he stood up and went to the bathroom.
Lola opened her eyes when she was sure he has left the room and then her face curled up into a small smile.
5k plus words. It's been a while since I wrote up to 5k.
This is step one to getting closer to our target. It's might not be what you were all expecting but I tried to write something. It's a bit not too good to me but it's better than nothing. And I am very busy now but I will update when I can and not so long away.
