He nodded. "That's nice." He commented.

"Your friend Bayo, he is a good friend. He is also a nice person." She commented on his friend after a while.

Demilade looked at her wondering why she bought up Bayo.

"Yes, he is." He agreed. "He had done more things for me that I can't count."

"I admire your friendships. It reminds me of my own friends. How do you even meet him?"

"You ask a lot of questions Lola."

"Oh! Sorry. You don't need to answer." She said apologetically.

"I never said I'm not going to answer." She looked at him. He was staring at her. He had a small smile playing on his lips before he looked away. "I met Adebayo when I was eight. I don't remember how and why I was in that place but I remember he and his brother was trying to pluck a mango. They were so funny with how they wanted to pluck the mango from the tree. I laughed at him and tell him that I could get twenty mangoes for him if he want. And he dared me to. I did get some with a stick. And I decided to show off by climbing the tree to pick those up. Well, I successfully did but instead of coming down, I was showcasing my skill on the tree because I could see the thrill on Bayo and his brother's faces." He chuckled. "then the branch I was standing on broke and I fell. He laughed at me for a long time while his brother came to help me. When he noticed that I couldn't walk on my own, he helped me get home. He came back to visit the following day because he had watched my grandma give me the beating of my life that day for climbing a tree." And they both laughed.

She imagine what the young Demmy would be like. And his grandmother beating him. She grinned widely.

"She shouldn't have beat you. You were injured."

"Grandma doesn't care. When you disobey her or get injured she still beats you before comforting you. My old grandmother does not take a shit."

She smiled at that. She remembered her own maternal grandparents. They were actually opposite of Demmy's grandmother. They were both so easygoing and simple. They spoiled her and her brother and they won't let anyone touch them nor would they beat them. She remembered her mother always complaining about how they would spoil her and her brother because of the pampering. She didn't know her paternal grandfather since he had died a long time ago but she wasn't close with her paternal grandmother either. They never visit her neither did she visit them.

Demilade continued. "And we became friends after then. We've been together ever since. Although his family are wealthy but his family took me like a son. We have been through things together. We did a lot of things and share a lot of things." He said, grinning remembering some of their times together.

Lola just stared at him. They have a beautiful friendship bond. She doesn't think she has any friends that she had befriended since she was eight years old. She met her current best friends when she was in high school. So she admired their friendship bond. They had a nice history together.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead." He urged with a shrug.

"How does Tokyo looks like?"

He didn't say anything for a while. Then he looked at his wristwatch and he stood up.

"Common let's go, it's getting late. It will take a while to get back to the beach house."

She nodded and she stood up, brushing off the sand from the bottom of her gown. And they walked side by side along the promenade.

"Tokyo is a beautiful city. One of the most beautiful I think." He answered after a while.
