Demilade also took a seat beside her on the sand and they both stared at the sea.

"I have never seen a beach at night until this vacation." She told him honestly. "It is very beautiful. If I was an artist, I would paint it. And also the setting of the sun on the sea. It's just... marvellous."

"You're right. That's one of the things that prompt me to suggest a beach house to Bayo. The sea is beautiful to watch. It's one of the most amazing things God created." He agreed with her. "But why can't you swim?" He asked, facing her.

"I'm not so opportune to go to a beach or a swimming pool. I have only been to a pool party twice and I did not dare enter the pool." She said chuckling. "And learning how to swim never did cross my mind."

"That's bad. But it is nice been in the water. It relieves some nerves and it helps to clear the mind. It's also a nice exercise."

"I guess so. How did you learn how to swim?"

"Bayo's dad got me an instructor when he saw that I was interested in learning how to swim. I always admire the competition between Bayo and his brothers." She smiled at that.

She looked at him. He was staring at the sea with his face blank with expression. She still wondered how he always seems to hide emotions from his face.

Although, it didn't change how beautiful he was. He is always handsome in whatever he was wearing, whatever he was doing and no matter the expression on him. Just like at that moment, when he has a normal expression on him. He was looking like he was staring at something unfathomable.

She takes her eyes off him before he knew she was busy gawking at him.

"Your favourite colour is black right?" She asked just to break the thick silence between them.

It was more of a statement than a question.

He nodded. "Yeah, I like black and ash. They are my favourite colours. And also white in few cases."

"Everyone likes different colourful colours, why black and ash? Black is more of a shade than a colour."

"I don't know. There are beautiful to me. I feel there is more to those colours that people can't see. Black and ashes are beautiful colours or shades... whatever they call it. So what about you?" He asked turning to look at her.

"I don't have a favourite colour as odd as it sounds." She chuckled lightly.

"But girls love pink."

She smiled. "Yeah, most girls love pink. But I can't choose the color I love best. I always admire all the colors. Working as a tailor has made it even more impossible to choose a favorite color. So if  I am asked my favorite colour, I will choose a strip of different colors as my favorite."

"That's surprising too. But not bad. It's the first time that I am hearing that. But it's cool. A strip of colours." He repeated with a small smile while Lola nodded. He paused for a while before he questioned. "Do you intend on going to a fashion school?"

She exhaled. "I don't think so. If I want to do that.... but not just here in Nigeria. I have enough experience here already. I can't use my father's money to go study something that I already know. I need something new and different. But I don't have that amount of money. I will just stick to learning English or French language in the university. "

"English or French?"

"Yes." She nodded. "I can speak a little French." She spoke proudly.

"Really?"

"Yes. You're surprised?" She arched a brow in question.

He chuckled before asking. "What is bonjour?"
