It was already getting dark when they left the small town and they went to the beach side in silence with just the sound of the waves and the howling of the wind between them.

They walked on the sandy beach along the sea on the promenade with the breeze coming from the sea blowing on them and their clothes, making them dance to the rhythm of the wind. It was a beautiful sight walking beside the sea watching the rise and fall of the waves of the sea on the land in the dark night, lit just by the light coming from the half moon.

They passed a few people who seems to be there for prayer. Some were sitting on a wide cloth spread on the floor whispering prayers to themselves with their eyes closed. And others were standing facing the sea. They walked past them in silence.

They went on silently, each with his or her thoughts, admiring the beauty of the night and the sea, the feel of the breeze on their skin, and the peace and quietness from the usual noise of the city. And also the feeling of being with each other. There were also unspoken words between them.

"How are we going to get home?" Lola asked breaking the silence.

"Are you scared?" Demilade asked with a smirk.

She rolled her eyes at him.

"No, I'm not. Why should I? I just can't see the boat and we have been walking for quite a while."

"We won't get lost. And I have asked Patrick to go back home. We are not far from the beach house anymore. Just a few more miles." He answered gesturing in the path they were heading.

She nodded affirmatively. She liked it that he had been cheerful for a while now. This was one of the moods she likes and doesn't want it to change.

"Woah! That's nice. How do you know your way around here?" She asked.

"I have been here multiple times since I became friends with Charles. Charles visit here all the time with his family. His family also have a beach house on one of the Island around here. When I met Charles at the university, he took all of us here for summer breaks and showed us around. We've been visiting here since then. "

She just smiled with a nod. Then she walked toward the sea. She stood there for a while staring at the dark sea. Demilade stood watching what Lola was doing. He didn't know why she left the path to go stare at the sea. Then she did something surprising. She bend down and sat on the sand with her legs hunched in front of her. His brows furrowed in question.

"Are you going to keep standing there wondering why I am sitting here?" Lola asked loudly without turning around to look at him.

He chuckled lightly, shaking his head in puzzlement. Then he walked up to her.

"Why do you decide to sit here? I thought you were eager to go back to the beach house?" He said.

"I didn't say so. I just wanted to confirm how we are going to get home. And you said it was just a few miles from here. We still have time. Not like there is anything to do there." She muttered the last part. But he heard anyway.

She folded her arms around her legs and Demilade took off his coat. He wanted to wear it on her back but he decided against it. So he gave it to her.

She looked up at the coat and then at his face. He urged her to take it.

"Use it to cover yourself. Your cloth is not thick enough." And he was right. Just like he had known that they might be cold. He had put on a thick black turtle neck top and still wore a black coat. She had pondered why he wore two thick clothes. Now she knows why. The breeze was blowing harshly.

She thanked him and received the coat from him. She could smell him and his perfume on it. That beautiful familiar and alluring scent that she knows anywhere. And she smiled before placing it on her back and then pulled it forward to cover her chest and arms.
