Lola just watched him for a while before she turned to stare at the water quietly.
"Your gown is pretty," Demilade said trying to start a conversation.
Lola stared up at him. She can't believe he said that like he was just seeing her for the first time in it. But it was still a compliment.
"Thanks." And she had a mischievous smile on her. The gown happened to be one of those clothes she bought from her friend for the vacation. She was sure Demilade wouldn't believe how much she got it. But it still turns out great on her.
"Why did you never use the credit card I gave you?" He suddenly asked.
She looked away. "Nothing. I just couldn't use it. Not like I have a lot of money to spend but I wasn't so comfortable using it. You practically bought a new wardrobe for me, what more do I want to get?"
"You could have gotten something for your siblings and your dad. I also gave you them so you could use them to have new hair. But you made a new hair and a cent was not taken from the account." He looked up at her hair and then takes his eyes off it.
"I can manage myself. And I have someone who makes my hair at a cheaper rate. And you work for the money. So it's not nice I spend money that isn't mine lavishly. Moreover, I didn't want to belittle myself in front of you. I was hoping to return it when I am leaving because I know you won't take it back if I return it."
She was right about that. He thought. He would have refused to take the credit card back. He stared at her before he takes his eyes off her with a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

They got to a boat club with boats and bars. They left the boat and went into one of the bars. Demilade introduced her to a group of elderly men he claimed were his clients and investors.
She seems a little stunned by how the men talk with him. Some were even speaking formally with him like they were age mates. They seem proud to know him and have a conversation with him.
She watched as Demilade sat and discussed it like it was the most natural thing. There wasn't a single sign of frown or irritation in his voice or on his face. He seems to love his authority and his business. He felt so relaxed and among despite his age difference from the men.
Later, they stood up and excused themselves after Demilade paid the bills for everyone and he lead her out of the bar.
They went out to a poolside and a little get-together was been held. Some young men and ladies were all in their beach dresses and having fun. They were all looking sophisticated and elegant. She recognized two couples that she had seen at the wedding After-party Demilade took her to when the deal started.
He introduced them to Lola and vice versa. Those that recognize her just embraced her and were glad to see her again.
Ladies seem to be ogling at Demilade and he didn't give them a face. He was a bit proud to show her off since he had introduced her as his girlfriend.
They sat with them drinking, eating and talking about the weather, the country, and business and the men were talking about cars while music played in the background.
Demilade almost switch to his foul mood when he noticed one of his friends flirting with Lola while making a conversation with her. Even Lola didn't fail to notice it. And she kind of liked it that he was been territorial or probably... possessive.
They left there after a couple of hours and they took the boat back to an island for sightseeing. The people who lives there were mostly fishermen and mat makers. They all knew Demilade and everyone wanted to greet him and wanted him to have a drink with them. The women were also nice and they gave them fish which he asked them to give to Mr Patrick so he could take it to the beach house.
