jyugo tried to keep hwa comfortable while the older boy dozed, but he eventually was woken up by the commotion of uno winning against the handsome guys from building 3.

"what'd i miss?" no.20 grumbles out, and jyugo glances at him with a slightly smile.

"uno won."

"that's nice. but now he's gonna be a cocky bastard." rock chuckles in agreement, patting the youngers' back, making him grunt while glaring at the hulking american teen.

"hajime-chan! hajime-chan! hajime-chan! hajime-chan! hajime-chan!" nico shrieks as he runs back to them, panic in his voice and showing on his face as he stares at hajime with wide eyes and waves his arms around wildly.

"where the hell were you?" the said guard questions when the young teenager in front of him.

"he was floating!"

"huh?"

"a person was floating in the air!" nico exclaims.

"what did you hit your head on?"

"it's true! i really saw it! i really did!" nico tries to persuade the guard, who only shrugs him off, saying, "alright, alright."

"only two more events left in the new year's tournament! and the next event is..." mitsuru was once again shouting, and everyone's attention was drawn to the middle of the arena as the ground started shaking and opening up.

"i-its... a huge hole?!" jyugo exclaims in shock, all of them — the inmates — wondering what the hell the next event was.

"the fourth event is too spinning!"

"i-if this is the stage for the top spinning event..." uno trails off, only to have his dreaded question answered by mitsuru once again.

"this is the top you'll be using!"

"yep! it's huge!"

"what you'll need in this event is probably teamwork! spin these giant tops at the center of the stage. the top that either pushes the other off the stage or destroys the other wins! up to three members can participate! just like the hyakunin isshu, one guard and two inmates may enter! i will now announce the teams! they've been winning all the events thus far! building 13 is led by the almighty superhuman gorilla, hajime sugoroku!"

"who are you calling a gorilla?!" hajime shouts at mitsuru in the middle of his introduction, making hwa let out loud laughs at his outrage and angry face.

samon laughs with him, saying, "that's a perfect name for you!"

hwa's face flushes at the hot guard, but he listens to mitsuru introduce their cell's opponent.

"their opponent, building 5, cell 8, is led by the moronic monkey with a low iq, samon gokuu!" said monkey had been smirking at first before the blow to his intelligence.

"that basically means i'm stupid!" hajime laughs in return at him, sounding obnoxious when imitating the other man.

"don't worry, gokuu dude, you make up for whatever you lose in intelligence with your hot looks!" hwa shouts in support, grinning at the adult, making the group around them go silent as samon flushes.
