Chapter 2

Being bored, Meowth turns on the TV immediately showing a starting up battle live

"Pro hero Animal charmer first on the scene!"

"Lets hope the other heros get here soon! She cant take them all on her own!"

The guy behind the camera sounded worried as the reporter watched with gleeful eyes, seeing they were first on the scene

There was three villains, two with animalistic quirks and another one who hadn't showed their quirk. The bear like villains head shook relentlessly as he fought moms control, she watched his every move closely, not seeing the tiger like villain prowling behind her

Dad walks in worried, the pokemon out silent, the only sound being the reporter and the fight

The villain got closer to her before pouncing

I cover B/ns eyes, pulling him in towards me as my other hand covers his ear, the other pressed gently into my shoulder as I watch the tiger slash my mother's back with tearful eyes

"Animal Charmers down!!"

I could feel my shirt start to get wet as my brother silently cried, having faintly heard what happened

I couldn't move, i couldn't breathe, a tight feeling forming as tears leaked out of my eyes, noise threatening to come out as I watched my mother weakly sit up before the villain slashed her back again, red spilling over her teal hero costume onto the concrete staining it's a sickly colour

Meowth was silent, no comments on the villains leaving his mouth like he usually does, dad slid againt the wall to the floor, his head between his knees, his sobbing audible even through the ringing in my ears

Eeevee and Rockruff curled in on themselves, shielding their eyes from the screen

Mom stilled on the ground, my heart rate increased rapidly, the ringing intensifying, I want to scream...

Why can't I scream?!

I cant speak it hurts, it hurts so much, I can't breathe...

Meowth turned the TV off, seeming to remember he had the remote but the damage was done...

B/n broke out of my grip running upstairs, dad stayed seated

I grabbed phone seeing messages

3 messages from unknown:

"I'll be right there, meet under the tree"

I stood up tears still leaking from my eyes as I spoke to dad

"I'm gonna get some air... I'll be back soon"

He just nods his sobs still audible as he goes to grab something from the kitchen

"Can you guys look after B/n?"

Rockruff, Litten and Snivy nod, heading upstairs

"I'm coming with ya girly"

Meowth walks up to me, Pikachu moved so he sat on my shoulder as he jumps on the other

I walk out, gently closing the door as I walk to the park, seeing my lilac best friend under the tree while I quickly reply to Midoriya
