Start from the beginning

"You've just been sick all over mommy you little monkey" I giggle as I lay him down to change clothes

I change him into a really cute outfit. He is wearing a 'Mama's little prince' baby vest and an adorable pale blue collard onesie.

When I've changed him, I place him in the little bassinet and I quickly get changed out of my top and put a clean one on. I go to check on River and he's actually fallen back to sleep so I take this opportunity to go and wash my face and brush my teeth. I really want a shower but I'm still slightly wobbly on my feet so I'll just wait for Brad to wake up so he can help me.

As I'm brushing my teeth, I see the bathroom door open out of the corner of my eye and a sleepy Brad appears from the darkness.

"How are you feeling now beautiful?" He asks giving me a kiss on the cheek

"I'm feeling really good. I'm dying to have a shower but I think I'll just have a bath when we go home, that way I'll be able to have River's first bath with him" I say as I swill my mouth with water and put my toothbrush and toothpaste back in my toiletry bag

*A few hours later*

"Everything looks great, River is in perfect health and Jen, you look amazing for someone who had a baby yesterday. You are now free to go home" Dr Smith gives us the amazing news that we are finally free

"Brilliant. Thank you very much for all of your help, we really appreciate it" I say as Brad starts to pack our bags

"Let's go home baby boy. Let's go and see your Auntie Court and your sisters" I pick River up, give him a quick kiss before strapping him in his car seat. I place a thin blanket over him and I drape one over the car seat so no one can take any pictures of him

Brad and I share one last kiss before we make our way out of my hospital room. Brad has got my bag over one of his shoulders and we are both holding the handle of the car seat wanting to walk out together.

As we make our way to the car, there are a few paparazzi but thankfully they keep their distance but I can still hear the clicks of their cameras and them shouting questions at us but we just continue to ignore them.
