Scripting

So. Scripting.

It's a script. It explains who you are and what you will be doing in your dr.

You can script an entirely new person to embody. You do not have to go to your dr as your cr self. I'm not. I've created a new person who is pretty much the opposite of my cr self. She's older, she lives somewhere else, she grew up differently, she thinks and experiences things differently. You can script anything. Don't forget this. Don't limit yourself to anything.

You can change characters and the plot of the movie, tv show, or book you are shifting to. You can be best friends with your favorite character. Just script it. You can erase a character from ever existing. Just script it.

Oh, one quick thing. In your dr, they are not "characters", so I guess I shouldn't refer to them as such. Oops.

There are precautions you should take when shifting. I would recommend this:
-scripting that you are immortal (can't die)
-scripting that you cannot be extremely injured
-scripting that other people are immortal, if you don't want them to die
-scripting a safe word/action (mentioned in previous chapter)

You really don't have to script much else. You don't even have to script what I recommended you to above. The less you script, the more sandbox your shift will be. The more you script, the less decisions you will get to make ultimately. It's up to you.

You can script that you will not remember the script. This is recommended for people who are shifting to experience something new. Ask yourself: would you enjoy shifting if you knew everything that was going to happen, every person who was going to die, when they die, how they die? Knowing the entire plot of the shift could prompt you to take on a hero role, saving everyone from their impending death, trying to make decisions to change fate. That's fine, if it's what you want do to. If you wouldn't enjoy that, just script that you don't know about the script, or you're unaware of what will happen in the future of the shift. Both have their benefits.

Personally, I've opted to "forget" about the script. When I'm there, in the moment, I don't want to be aware that my favorite person is going to die in x moment. I will, however, remember everything when I get back to my cr.

Be aware that if you decide to script major changes to the plot, things could go wrong, or play out differently than you imagined. If you script that a person doesn't die, that could come back and bite you later.

If you script that you will date a certain person, be aware that it could throw off the dynamics of everything. If you scripted that you want to date Glenn, then he probably won't have as close of a relationship with Maggie or Hershel. A lot of Glenn and Maggie's actions are powered by their love for each other. Breaking up relationships like this is fine. Just know that it can cause unforeseen events to occur.

Know your limits. I know I said there aren't any, but that isn't fully true. If you script that you are immortal, people might get suspicious on how you keep getting out of deadly situations. I guess be careful? I don't really know what happens in this situation since I haven't shifted yet.

I can't think of anything else to say here, so I'll probably start talking about The Walking Dead or sharing parts of my script. Sorry if you already knew all of this stuff :)
