1. something mechanical makes you, fills you to the brim. I'm watching as it does, I feel the fluid in your veins, it's sharp, and sunny. It reanimates you in the warmest of ways.
2. I thought technology was meant to be cold.
3. Lime green grass is dull beside fluorescent neon lights.
4. I have always struggled to be one with you: half girl, half machine. I leave my face natural, I teach it to mimic the limbs made of metal and plastic.
5. I will never be synthesized. And this natural skin of mine feels heavy on my body. I want to be light. I'll shed it and give it away again, again but
6. I yearn to still feel the human parts of me...
7. I yearn again, when I am without a bouncing compass telling me how and when to think.
8. I feel like I've turned 23 seven times before.
9. I yearn one last time, here. Where my nails catch onto rust, leaving faint traces of a brighter red on copper skin.
10. I am still something you can hold onto.
Even when my parts fail me.
