As I sat on the cold ground, I heard a twig snap, a rope crack, and giggled laughter.

I squint my eyes and head towards the laughter.

I see a small female...

Her hair was curly and golden blonde, her eyes were deep blue, and she had a dress that was tight on her tiny figure.

She looked at me and smiled.

"Hi!"

I was then confused, I put a knife up to her neck.

"You escaped the asylum too?"

My eyes widened.

"How'd...you know?"

She giggled.

"Well, I heard about your life story...I felt bad for you...I wasn't supposed to be there...I was accused of murder..."

"What about your parents?"

"They died in prison."

"Why did they get in there?"

"Well...abuse...they were both very bad alcoholics."

I look at the ground, take the knife, slide it against her ankle, and watch her fall to the ground.

"Thanks! So, your names Amaya right?"

I nodded.

"Yours?"

"I'm Seikatsu."

I look at her.

"Your name means 'life'."

She looked at me in an interested way.

"It does?!?"

I look at the ground.

"Yeah...how old are you?"

"I'm seven."

"Hmm..."

"Why'd you want to find me?"

"Well...you're just so interesting, and I thought you needed a friend that won't hurt you."

I tighten my fist at the remembrance of my past.

I could use her for bait...I guess she can tag along...

"Alright...listen well, if you want to be around me...you must be stealthy and do as I say..."

Her smile lit up her face.

"Yes Amaya!"

Why...didn't I kill her? She trespassed....

I continue to walk around the forest.

She then found my victims.

"Woah...did you do that?"

I nodded once.

Her smile lit her face again.

"Wow! Cool! Can you teach me how to do that?"

I shook my head at the ground.

"Maybe..."

She giggled and danced where she stood.

We continued to walk through the woods.

"Alright...you need to sleep."

I told her.

"Yes Amaya!"

She then fell on her face purposely.

I rolled my eyes.

I leaned against a tree and looked up at the moon.

Why? I'm so confused...why can't I kill her? How come she's different...

I look over at her resting body, her golden hair covering her.

Why do I feel so close to her...maybe...just maybe, she might have the same past as I do.

While she slept, I heard rustling leaves.

I rushed beside her, protecting...her...

The thing turned out to be an officer of the trails.

My rush came back.

I led him to go a different way.

I was then facing him.

"Hey! The trails are closed! Didn't you read the signs?"

I just laughed.

He reached for his gun.

I ran behind a few trees as I sang.

"...la la la...la la...la la la...la la..."

He stood there looking everywhere for me in his spot.

I snuck up behind him.

"...la..."

I whispered as I stabbed him from behind.

The knife had poked through to show the tip of the knife through his chest.

His crimson blood spilled on the dead leaves beneath him.

He choked for air, struggling to breathe.

I smirked at his dying, struggling breaths.

Then I decided to finish him off.

I went over to him, picked him up from his neck, and snapped it.

The snap had echoed through the woods.

"Wow! That. was. amazing!"

I turn around to see Seikatsu behind a tree...she had seen it all.

I sighed.

"Alright...you need to rest now Seikatsu."

"Ok."

She rubbed her eyes.

I sat against a tree, she slowly inched towards me, cuddling my waist.

I wasn't familiar with comfort.

I shakily placed my hand on her back, and rubbed it gently.

She's different...she reminds me of myself...very different...Seikatsu...
