Lexa pov:

Something was wrong, and Lexa knew it. Clarke was supposed to come by two weeks ago but didn't make an appearance and she always did. Rumours that passed through the trees said that a thief that terrorised small villages had been captured by Azgeda. Lexa didn't take this seriously though until now she just automatically thought the queen had chosen the wrong girl. Now she wasn't so sure, she had a few spies in Azgeda that informed her but all had said that they knew nothing of the capturing of a thief.

Days passed and Lexa's options thinned, she had no choice but to go in search herself. Mounting on her horse she headed on to Azgeda with a small group of three guards to settle an agreement with the ice queen.

It took three days to get to the kingdom and once she got there the ice nation guards let her n reluctantly.

"Lexa, what brings you by my plains," The Queen asked as Lexa entered the castle.

Lexa stared into the cold eyes of the ice queen, she had taken so much from Lexa but still, she stayed strong.

"Rumours said that you caught a thief working in my villages I would like to see if those rumours are true and if they are, congratulate you," Lexa said as calmly as she could putting her heda mask on.

The Queen smiled her face filled with empty promises and poison, "well those rumours are true, you are just in time we were going to execute her tonight," The queen said standing up from her thrown and walking down the ice steps to stand right in front of Lexa.

"I will bring you to her," Nia whispered into Lexa's ear, her harsh voice sending shivers down her spine.

Lexa smiled as sweetly as she could but there was pain behind her eyes, she knew it was Clarke the way Nia had taunted her.

Lexa followed Nia down steps to the dungeon leaving the queens and Lexa's guards alone in the thrown room. Guards we positioned outside two wooden double doors, and when the saw Nia they bowed and headed back upstairs. Nia took out a rustly long metal key and stuck it into the padlock connecting the two doors, turning them and then unwrapping the metal chains Nia finally opened the door.

Lexa knew what she was going to see was going to hurt her but she still wasn't expecting what Nia had done to Clarke.

She was hanging feet off the floor on a wooden pole, her hands were tied up above her head like how Lexa had done to Raven that one time but with her feet off the floor. Clarke's pale blue top was torn and drenched in blood. Long cuts along Clarke's stomach was shown in black red and some green and yellow. Clarke's head was down and her hair dripped with water-thin scars layered on her face that tilted down but looked up with the sound of footsteps. Lexa tried to hold her surprise but she knew Nia could sense it, Clarke's eyes were teary and in pain but Lexa couldn't help but notice the flicker of hope when Clarke saw Lexa. Lexa broke when she saw that hope it started to tear her inside out she could do nothing to save Clarke at this moment without leaving her people in the hands of Nia.

"You caught Wanheda," Lexa said and it took all her power to not grit it.

The Queen smiled evilly and nodded her head, "You know maybe I should kill her right now, but that is no fun, would you like to join us for the execution," Nia said, she said the last bit more like a command than a question

"Of course," Lexa said as sweetly as she could though her voice was strained even to her. With one last gaze at Clarke, they both walked out of the dungeon. Nia locking the doors securaly behind her and jabbing the metal key into her waist where daggers usually stick.

Lexa walked back up the stair and back into the throne room where her guards were stationed still.

"Are the Rumours true heda?" Alec her first guard asked bowing slightly.

Alec was not just one of her most trusted guards but was also one of her closest friends. She had grown up with the tall broad man, to whom she used to tell all her secrets.

Lexa stared into the man's dark brown eyes and tilted her head slightly to the right, "Yes," she said. The man stiffened a little and nodded his head before staring into the queen's soul which would have scared anyone but of course Nia.

Lexa started to walk out of the castle when Nia stopped her, "aren't you staying for the execution?" Nia asked playing with her words.

"Of course I am I already said that I, I... just need to go have some fresh air," Lexa said nearly tumbling over her own words, she quickly walked out shoving pass the queen.

The sun slowly started to set the time was coming and it was coming fast, Lexa knew the only way she could save Clarke is if she did it before they took her out of the castle but after they take her out of the dungeons.

Lexa stayed low just pacing around the thrown room until the guards brought up the broken Clarke from the stairs.

Alec and her other two guards stormed straight at the ice nation warriors carrying Clarke. The Ice nation quickly through Clarke against the wall she was too weak to escape by her self and Azgeda started to fight.

Lexa hurried over to Clarke and tossed her over shoulder helping her escape the back way of the castle. They reached the back door but something was wrong the queen was standing there with fifty of her warriors.

"I should have known you would try to help her escape, oh wait I did know," the queen smirked.

Clarke coughed up blood she was dying Lexa had to do something quickly.

*bang*

fifteen Azgeda warriors just suddenly dropped dead, Lexa looked behind the trees and saw Skaikru with their guns out.

'Clarke could survive,' was the only thing that went through Lexa's mind.

The queen snarled and jumped to Lexa with her sword out, in master speed Lexa softly dropped Clarke to the ground and took out her sword only just not getting her head chopped off.

The sound of swords banging each other was enough to make your ears popped. Lexa swung high and then kicked low but Nia dodged pounding Lexa in the face at the time of vulnerable.

Lexa slashed the queen's stomach making her cry out in pain and stumble backwards. Too much adrenaline-filled Lexa's body making her not aware of pain. They both run forward to each other master of the sword against the master of the sword, Nia though played dirty though she always did. She flung Lexa's momentum away from Clarke and then hurdled to Clarke and not Lexa, but Lexa was to quick she run and jumped in front of Clarke the sword plunging through her stomach. But the adrenaline wasn't going to let her die straight away with a quick slash of her sword Nia's head toppled off of her body.

Lexa collapsed in front of Clarke who saw the whole thing happen, Clarke, leant over Lexa enough to hear her last words.

"You were right Clarke, life is about more than just surviving,"

Clarke felt tears form in her eyes which she didn't think was possible out of all the torture that Azgeda had done this was the worst.

Clarke felt herself being picked up by one of Skaikru and lead over to her mother who cradled her stroking her hair. Clarke went out a few moments after that.

There we go, Lexa, is dead sadly, she was one of my favourite characters and though I would rather have kept her alive. If she had to die this should have been around the lines on how sacrificing herself for Clarke.

Anyway, I hope that just because Lexa's dead you won't leave my storey. She is still going to come up because I'm going to have a few povs of Aden being the new Commander. So Lexa would talk to her in his head.
