                          — Storm and Friends S1 / ep. 44

Storm was seen laying in his bed, peacefully sleeping away the seconds on his side while his right eyelids looked
more...triangular than usual. And some more black fur was beginning to sprout on his right side as well. However, this wasn't
what we'd focus on as Storm would squeeze his lids tighter and wrinkle up his face a bit. Then he'd slowly open his eyes and let
out a pained groan as he'd look to be pretty uncomfortable. "Not again..." he said with a strained voice before sluggishly lifting up
his paw and trying to grab one of his horns as gently as he could to try and suppress the pain. Unfortunately for him though, the
slightest touch created a painful shock in his paw "ow!-" he yelped, quickly pulling his paw away from his horn and sitting up
to hold the sides of his head tightly as he felt a throbbing, sharp migraine encase his skull. "Ow,ow,ow,ow,ow,ow,ow..." he
continued while his pain only got worse and his voice only sounded more weak and small. Tightly, he'd clamp his jaws
together and quietly cry and whimper as sweat ran down his face, his tensed body trembled and he could feel his heart racing
really fast. But thankfully, after what seemed like several minutes to Storm, the pain had finally faded and simply went
back to an uncomfortable feeling in his left horn. He'd let out a sigh of relief and shook his head slightly "gosh why did I do
that...? I know better..." he scolded meekly before going silent and thinking. Then, he'd realize which horn was hurting and his
eyes instantly widen out of panic "wait, wait, wait. NO. NO. NOT AGAIN!" he'd raise his voice more than usual as he'd sweat
anxiously and frantically take out a mirror from under his wing and quickly angle it up to get a good look at both his horns and
expect the worst. However, what he'd see was much more than the worst...

A black, goopy ink-like substance was leaking straight out of the root of his pain-reddened horn; and as Storm had seen this in the  reflection of the mirror through his teary eyes, not only did he understand why he was in much more pain than th...

A black, goopy ink-like substance was leaking straight out of the root of his pain-reddened horn; and as Storm had seen this in the
reflection of the mirror through his teary eyes, not only did he understand why he was in much more pain than this usually was.
But he was also utterly terrified and panicked as he had never seen this happen to him in his entire time of having horns.
"Wh-what...?" he asked himself quietly under his breath as he'd try his hardest to not let a blood curdling scream out of his maw
while his mind and his heart raced. Then, he'd hastily set down his mirror carelessly to swiftly take out his phone from under his
wing and frantically dial someone before pressing the phone up to his ear in a shaky panic. He'd choke down tears and feel
himself trembling even more each time he heard the dial up sound. Then, once it picked up, he wouldn't give the animal on the
other end a single second to speak as he'd let his mouth run in sheer panic. "Mom,mom you have to help me please" he'd try his
hardest to not scream his plead and ended up sounding like a weak little puppy in the process. "What? What's wrong, Storm?"
Daydream asked worriedly over the phone "I-I don't know. There's this goopy black stuff coming out of my horn and I don't
know what to do, mom." He was so relieved to hear her comforting voice to the point it'd make tears slip out of his eyes
from how thankful he was to get help. However, a brief pause was heard from the other end of the line before she'd speak again
and further comfort him. "Oh dear...well...Storm, just keep calm for me okay? Just breathe...and try to stay calm. I know that you're
feeling really scared right now. But you have to trust me when I say it'll be okay and it's nothing serious." "Okay, okay...I'll try"
Storm replied, already sounding to he calmed down quite a bit as her voice and words alone soothed him as if he was standing in a
ray of warm sunshine on a chilly day. "Alright good...just tell me when you're ready and I'll explain everything, okay?" he nodded
with a little hiccup "o-okay, I think i'm ready now, Daydream." He responded quietly "alright...so first of all there's nothing wrong
with your horns, second...well...to put it straight. You're just stressed is all...very stressed. The same thing would happen with
Buster when he was still alive, so you probably got it from him..." Storm paused in shock as he couldn't believe that he was showing
more signs of looking like his father. He didn't want this. And it really just made him more stressed. "Are you alright, Storm?"
Daydream asked worriedly once more "did something happen yesterday or something? You never did call me back..." now she
sounded even more concerned. But Storm shook his head a little "no,no. Everything went alright yesterday...but I brought Vex's
brother back home with me because he was real troubled if you know what I mean." He explained briefly, just to make sure she
wouldn't worry for him too much while he'd also try to calm himself down in the process.
