Special Containment Procedures: so far the foundation has not figured out a way to contain SCP-17298 due to its ability to phase through matter on a whim though it does stay around one area which it has marked as its territory due to the foundations inability to contain SCP-17298 as well as the effect it has on those around it which causes fears to become a mixture of paranoia and phobias for a period of time depending on exposure this has lead to SCP-17298 being classified as Keter
Behavior: SCP-17298 behaves similarly to a hairless cat it acts aloof, cuddles up to people and other warm objects, chases things, steals small items, pushes things over, and avoids cold areas SCP-17298 is rather vocal when it comes to meowing it can speak english but it vocabulary is similar to that of a four year old it seems to prefer meowing and gestures to communicate SCP-17298 has been seen floating in the air in order to chase bugs
Description/Image: SCP-17298 appears to be a full grown black and white Bambino Devon Rex mix that is almost hairless except for a thin layer of soft curly fur SCP-17298 has 28 toes and greyish blue eyes
Abilities: floating, phasing through matter on a whim, speaking basic english, causes those around it to experience extreme paranoia and turn fears and anxieties into phobias for a certain amount of time based on exposure it is possible for this state to become permanent, can sometimes cause hallucinations
Significant Tests:
due to SCP-17298 abilities it is very hard to do testing and get reliable results it has however been noticed that SCP-17298 has a calming effect on a small percentage of humans as well as a comforting effect on other anomalous beings and that SCP-17298 often visits SCP-096 and has caused the stress levels of SCP-096 to lower which has been inferred since SCP-096 has been crying less since SCP-17298 arrival other SCPs have said that they enjoy talking to SCP-17298 despite its inability communicate back
Discovery: SCP-17298 was found in the home of man who died of overdose it was brought to SCP Foundations attention when security cameras saw it walking through walls for a while it was thought to be safe until a mass panic attack with a d class cell block where SCP-17298 hanged out quite a bit occurred 12 where killed and 30 where injured
Origin: it is unknown where SCP-17298 abilities came from one theory is that SCP-17298 somehow took on the paranoia inducing properties of the drugs its owner had been taking
