(Laurance's POV)

I jolt awake to the sound of screaming. It sounds like it's coming from Garroth's room. I hurry out of bed, and run into Garroth's room to see him tossing and turning on the bed, screaming while Zane is trying to wake him up.
"Garroth! GARROTH WAKE UP!!" Zane says while shaking Garroth.
Garroth turns over and slaps Zane really hard on the face. Zane stumbles back in shock. Garroth has NEVER slapped Zane. I look at Zane with a look saying 'I'll deal with this'. Zane nods and leaves the room.
I run over to Garroth and attempt to wake him. He starts punching and kicking in his sleep. He ends up punching me in the face. I wince in pain.
"Dammit"
I shake Garroth, trying to wake him up. He jolts awake, and sits up gasping for air, breathing heavily while sobbing uncontrollably.
"G-garroth?" He looks at me as I pull him into a hug as he cries into my shoulder. "Shhhh, it's okay. I'm here Gar, you're safe now."
Zane is standing at the doorway looking at Garroth while crying.
"I-I didn't h-hurt anybody d-did I?" He says looking at me.
I sigh, looking at Zane.
"Y-yeah....you were tossing and turning in your sleep, a-and you turned over and accidentally slapped Zane on the face". Garroth looks at Zane as he walks over to the bed and gives Garroth a hug. "I-I'm so s-sorry Z-Zane!"
"Shhhh... Garroth it's not your fault" Zane says as he pulls away from the hug.
Zane looks at me.
"Laurance, can I talk to you in private?" "Sure?"
We exit the room and close the door.
"Laurance...ever since everything that happened at Starlight. Garroth hasn't been the best. He keeps having nightmares about him being under the effects of the forever potion." Zane says as he looks at the stitched up stab wound that Garroth gave him.
"He was afraid to tell you, because he didn't want you to worry about him. So please...all I ask of you Laurance is to promise me that you'll comfort Garroth, and be there to help him through these hard times. I suggest he moves into your room or you move into his room. Just so that you can be there to comfort him if he has anymore nightmares" Zane says as he puts a hand on my shoulder.
I look at Zane and nod.
"I promise Zane. I'll talk to him about that idea of your's tomorrow."
"Thank you, Laurance".
"No problem Zane, goodnight."
"Night" says Zane as he goes to his room.
I take a deep breath and go back into Garroth's room to find him  laying on his side on the bed with his back facing me. I walk over and put a hand on his shoulder. He flinches, as he turns over and looks at me with fear in his eyes. He relaxes at the sight of seeing me.
"Shhhh, Gar it's okay. I'm here". I lay down on the bed and put the covers over us.
"I'm so sorry you had to see that Laurance..."
"Garroth, it wasn't your fault. Zane told me what's been going on". I say as Garroth looks down, ashamed.
I grab his chin to make him look at me. "Garroth....why didn't you tell me this? That you were having nightmares??"
"I-I didn't want you to worry".
"Garroth, it's my job to worry about you! I'm supposed to protect you at all costs. I wasn't able to do that. I was here, unaware of the pain and the suffering you were going through. Don't you remember at the airport when I said that I'm always here if you need to talk to someone".
I say as a cuddle him while playing with his hair.
"T-Thank you Laur...I didn't hurt anyone else did I?"
I sit up and put my hand out to touch my jaw.
"Y-yeah...as I was trying to wake you up, you....accidentally punched me in the face. Garroth suddenly sits up and looks at me with regret in his eyes. He puts his knees to his chest, burying his face. 
"I'm such a monster. I'm such a frickin monster" he says mumbling to himself.
I scoot over and put my hands on his shoulders.
"Garroth. Look at me" he looks up at me with bloodshot eyes from crying so much tonight.
"You. Are. Not. A. Monster. Don't you ever, and I mean ever call yourself a monster again. I love you so much, Irene damn it! And nothing is ever gonna change that. I may not understand fully what happened at the Lodge and Starlight. But I'm here. I know I wasn't there before to comfort you and be there for you. But I'm here now. And that's all that matters".
"I love you too Laur...thank you."
"No problem Gar" I say as I give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Gar..."
"Hm?"
"Can you tell me what the nightmare was about? It's okay if y-"
"I-I'll tell you..." He says.
I pick him up and set him on my lap.
He takes a deep breath.
"Take your time Gar" I say while stroking his hair.
"I had a nightmare about everything that happened at Starlight. It was mostly about me being under the forever potion. I almost killed my own damn brother and his gf!" Garroth starts to cry again.
"Hey, look at me" I say turning him around, he then puts his legs around my waist as he looks up at me.
"I don't want to hear you blame yourself anymore, this wasn't your fault Garroth! Please, let me help you get through this. Don't shut me out". I say.
I cup his face with both of my hands and pull him into a kiss, as he kisses back. We pull away and he smiles
"there's that adorable smile of yours" I say chuckling.
"Oh honey bear, you're the one with the adorable smile".
I love it when he calls me that, it reminds me of a certain time.

I'm sitting in our barely furnished living room on a crate as Garroth is making coffee.
"Coffee Laurance?" He asked looking at me.
"Yes please" I said, smiling.
"One sugar or two?"
"Oh Garroth, you are enough sugar already". I say winking at my boyfriend.
He giggles
"Oh honey bear".

"Laurance?" Garroth says.
"Hm?"
"Whatcha thinking 'bout?"
"The time you were making coffee, and I flirted with you" I say chuckling
"I remember that!" He says laughing.
"Can you guys shut the hell up!? I'm trying to get my beauty sleep!! Go to bed!" Zane shouts from his room.
Me and Garroth start bursting out laughing.
"We should probably get to bed before your brother murders us" I say in-between laughs.
"Yeah, we should" Garroth says, chuckling. We both lay down underneath the covers once again. I wrap Garroth in my arms, while he burries his face in my chest. "Te amo amore" I say.
Garroth puts his head up and looks at me "Laurance I get it that your a Latino, but you know I can't speak Spanish". I giggle
"It means 'I love you, love'" I tell him. Garroth giggles as he burries his face in my chest again. 
"Laurie?"
"Yes GarGar?"
"Can you hum our song?"
"Of course"

After I finish humming our song, I hear light snoring. I look down to see Garroth snoring. I give a him a kiss on the forehead. He smiles in his sleep with a tint of pink on his face. I chuckle softly. We've been dating since January 25th, 2016, two years already and he still blushes around me.
"Buenas noches mi amore" I say to my boyfriend as I fall into a deep sleep.
