"I know, and I forgive you." She breathed, looking deep into his hazel eyes, flecked with gold. The familiar scent of cinnamon grew stronger as he cupped her face gently with his hand, and they leaned in to kiss.

Lottie quickly forgot about Ellie and her role as princess, Jamie's furious refusal, Lottie's job as a Portman, everything. All she could focus on was the kiss she was melting into. It was soft and gentle and sweet, and suddenly she felt hopeful for their relationship. This could become something.
