Chapter 78: Feeling Frustrated

After coming out of the hospital, Ji Qingying wandered around aimlessly.

Walking on the road, the eyes of the people passing by fell on her, but she didn't notice it.

Ji Qingying never thought of using such methods to attract Fu Yanzhi's attention.

She simply felt that she had done something wrong. She was both apologetic and ashamed to have him eat with her after doing that.

   At least at the moment, that was what she felt.

Fu Yanzhi should have been busy with his work.

The reason he made a promise with her initially was that it was in exchange for the gifts.

Both of them had considered it as a deal.

For Ji Qingying, everything right now felt like she was heading into a blind alley as she thought more about this relationship of theirs with everything being a result of cause-and-effect.

 She kept ruminating more and more, and her mood got worse.

When Chen Xinyu ran down from her company building's stairs, she saw Ji Qingying sitting by the fountain pool.

The afterglow of the setting sun shone on her, covering her whole body with a gentle tone.

The only part that looked a bit off was that she looked listless and looked rather dispirited.

Chen Xinyu raised her eyebrows in wonder and approached her slowly.

She stretched out her hand and poked her friend's shoulder, "What's wrong, frustrated?"

After hearing her voice, Ji Qingying looked up.

She was silent for a moment and before nodding, "I made a mistake again."

Hearing her tone, Chen Xinyu immediately became nervous, "How did you make a mistake? Tell me clearly."

"I'll give you the short version."

Ji Qingying gave a brief summary of what she said when she teased Fu Yanzhi at the hospital.

When she was done explaining everything, Chen Xinyu stared at her with an expression that expressed her intrigue.

"Why are you staring at me with that look?"

"Nothing."

Chen Xinyu was a bit confused, "In the end, what's exactly wrong with what you said?"

She thought for a moment, "Do you think Fu Yanzhi got angry? Or that he has a bad impression of you?"

Ji Qingying thought for a moment and said, "All of them."

"The main thing is that it was likely rude and impetuous," she said

She was a person who reflected on her actions a lot. She was the type who would examine herself if she has done something wrong and likewise follow her heart.

Chen Xinyu was speechless.

She knew that Ji Qingying always had such a character, but she did not agree with her current words or thoughts.

She sat down beside her and said faintly, "I think you're thinking too much. Although Dr. Fu usually behaves indifferently, he is not one who will be angry about such trivial things."

As soon as her words ended, Ji Qingying suddenly quipped, "So I'm just a minor thing to him."

Chen Xinyu: "......"

She was speechless for a while again, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, "Can you let me finish?"

Ji Qingying chuckled, "Go on."

She looked like she was dictating a practiced script, "I'm all ears."
