I started to slowly walk down the steps, careful not to fall. I noticed Ron tap Harry's shoulder and point towards me, and Harry quickly turned around as his eyes widened at the sight of me. I smiled sheepishly.

"Wow. You look really nice," Harry gulped.

"Thanks Harry, so do you," I replied.

He took my hand and walked me into the beautifully decorated dining hall. The decorations were one of the best things about the Yule Ball, they just made everything more festive and memorable.

"Do you want a drink? Not like an alcoholic drink- unless you want-" Harry stammered.

"I would love something to drink, thank you."

I giggled and he weakly smiled at me. I hoped he wasn't embarrassed, because I thought he was absolutely adorable when he talked like that.

As I went to sit down at a table, I soon realized there wasn't any empty ones except the table Ron was sitting at, so I really had no choice but to sit with him.

As I walked over, I couldn't help but notice him staring at Hermione. She was dancing with some Ravenclaw boy, and it looked like Ron was jealous. I could understand why, Hermione was seriously attractive.

"Hi Ron," I said as I started to sit down.

"Oh Hi. Jocelyn, isn't it?"

"Yeah, but you can call me Jocie. Can I sit?" I asked.

"Uh yeah, I don't care," he replied.

I sat down and started playing with my ring because Ron's gaze went right back to Hermione.

As I was looking around for Harry, I saw Neville and Luna having the greatest time. They were both smiling and dancing, and I was going to say hi, but was interrupted by Harry.

"Hey, sorry that took so long, here's your drink. I'm not sure what you wanted so I just got you some juice."

"Thanks," I responded.

We sat at the table and talked while we drank our juice, until my favorite song came on.

"No way. This is my favorite song, we have to go dance!" I exclaimed as I started to get up.

"Oh uh, I'm not much of a dancer," Harry muttered.

"Oh come on Harry, it'll be fun!"

I grabbed his hand and pulled him to where everyone was dancing. Everyone looked so happy, I couldn't help but laugh.

He started off awkward, but I made him feel more comfortable by grabbing both his hands and moving him around.

We danced for the whole song, until a slow song came on.

"May I?" He said as he reached for my waist.

"Of course," I grinned.

He grabbed my waist, took my hand, and pulled me into a dance. I was instantly filled with butterflies, as his touch set off a million fireworks in my heart.

He lifted my arm up and spun me around, I was having so much fun. I'm not sure what he meant when he said he wasn't a good dancer. He was amazing.

As soon as the song ended, he took my arm and ran me out of the dining hall.

"Can I show you something?" He whispered, still holding my hands.

"Like what?" I giggled.

My heart pounded at the thought of us being alone.

"Follow me."
