episode two.

Mornings for Seokjin usually started off with the incessant noise of his alarm and most often than not, secretary Park Jimin inviting himself inside his boss' room with a takeaway cup of steaming Café au lait from Le Petit. He's confused and slightly concerned when he wakes up this morning to no obnoxious sound from his phone or his dear secretary who could be unusually loud at seven am.

He can, however, smell the distinct aroma of coffee and it does smell like his favorite one from Le Petit.

It takes him a minute or two to gather his thoughts and realize that he was actually in Jeongguk's bed and not his own. He reaches for his phone and finds that his alarm had been turned off and it was ten in the morning. Surprisingly, he'd only received one text from Jimin and it reads:

Good morning, Boss! Knowing your work ethic, you must already be thinking about coming to the office but please consider taking a few days off. Your amazing secretary has got you covered. Take care and let me know if you still want your morning coffee delivered! (Seokjin scrunches his nose at the kissing emoji that followed) P.S. I did call you before texting you but your rockstar brother picked up and he sounded pissed that I was disturbing you so early. Extend my apologies to him huhu. P.P.S. I tried making it up to him by giving him your favorite breakfast order and he seemed to have laughed a little?

Seokjin types out a quick text expressing his gratitude and assuring his secretary that his rockstar of a brother wouldn't be requiring an apology. He also lets Jimin know that no, he doesn't want his morning coffee delivered to his house because he has a sneaking suspicion that Jeongguk would be hogging him all to himself and yes, he would be taking rest of the week off.

Jimin instantly replies with several colorful emojis and exclamation marks and Seokjin clicks his phone off. His secretary could be painfully enthusiastic sometimes.

Last night Jeongguk had held him impossibly close to his tattooed chest while they laid in a tangled mess on his bed, so close that Seokjin could feel the incredibly fast heartbeat right beneath his cheek. Seokjin was worried about the probability of the younger suffering from a panic attack but Jeongguk's heartbeat eventually calmed down as Seokjin caressed him lovingly to sleep.

There's the faint scent of Jeongguk lingering in the room still and something in Seokjin aches when he finds the space next to him empty and cold. The messy sheets and sunken pillows were the only evidences that Jeongguk had once laid beside him.

A few mere steps away from the bed, his favorite breakfast order is laid out on the coffee table. A sticky note is pressed on the awfully familiar bag of ham and blue cheese sandwich.

When Seokjin is done reading the note, the words unmistakably scribbled in Jeongguk's distinct handwriting, he smiles for the first time in a very long while and pockets the small scrap of paper.
