CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Agad akong napahiga nang makarating ako sa aking kwarto.

Muli kong binuklat ang album na binigay sa akin ni Shan.

Then his words earlier flashes again in my head.

"I.... I do appreciate it Shan. I have feelings for you too but that's it. We should not cross lines."

After I said those lines, Shan stepped back with his head's down.

I was scared of the moment, thinking I hurt him but when he lifts his face he gave me a smile.

"I understand Alaska. Alam kong nasaktan ka at hindi ka pa handa para sa panibagong sakit. But let me tell you this, I... I won't hurt you."

"I will stay by your side Alaska. Now that I told you how I truly feel I am more determined to make you mine."

"I won't stop until you'll say yes Alaska. Good night."

Shan once again came closer to me and gave me a kiss in my head before he turned back.

And once again I was left hanging, confused.... and somehow loved.

Shan amazes me. I can't believe my best friend is in love with me. And the fact that he waited for 14 years but is still willing to wait makes my heart flutters for him.

Am I really that precious to be worth the wait?

Hanggang sa makatulog ako ay hindi pa rin maalis sa isip ko si Shan.

Friday and it's the last day of school for now. Everyone is rejoicing. They've been waiting for this. A long vacant!

"Anong plano niyo sa break?" Tanong ni Francesca sa amin.

"Gagawa ng research malamang." Sagot naman ni Jhasmin.

"Ehh di tayo gagala ganun?"

Napatingin si Francesca sa akin.

"Kung may time pwede. Chat na lang sa gc ganun."

"Nice yan ang gusto ko sayo Blaire eh. Teka nasaan nga pala si Shan?"

Napalingon kami dahil sakto namang kararating lang ni Shan.

Nakatambay kami ngayon sa isang cottage. Wala kaming klase ngayon dahil busy ang mga teachers. Sana nga hindi na lang nila kami pinabalik eh tss.

"Salamat." I thank him as he gave a cup of ice cream before he sat beside me.

Napatulala naman ang dalawa na siyang pinawalang bahala lang namin.

I thought after all the confessions and
such, Shan and I will be awkward but we're not.

We're much closer now.

Shan waited for me on that morning and said that we should not treat each other differently because he don't want me to be apart from him again.

I agreed because I don't want to lose him either. Starting that day, Shan was extra sweet and careful. He holds my stuffs, brings me home and even treats me!

Hindi ako sanay sa ganitong Shan pero sa tingin ko masasanay naman ako. Plus kinikilig din naman ako sa tuwing gagawa siya ng sweet na bagay. Tapos libre pa lahat! Ang saya kaya!
