"Yes, he texted me."

"He should have called. I guess he is very busy. He doesn't joke with his work. I'm sure some people will want to slap him today when he gets to work because of his stupid temper." Bayo said and laughed. Lola joined too. She knew he was right. Demilade temper is nothing to talk about. He can get angry at any little thing.

"You are right about that." She agreed with him.

There were some minutes of silence between them before Bayo decided to break the silence.

"Is Demilade treating you right?" He asked.

"Yes, he is. I've got things that I couldn't dream of getting in my father's house since..... I came to Demilade's house. He gives me everything I want. He isn't selfish."

"Well, I'm glad to hear that about my friend. But Lola, I don't mean in material aspect. I know Demmy better than most people, and I know he can be quite mean, and he seems to care less about some things. And he is a character to be with it."

Lola said nothing for a while. He isn't wrong about that. He was right.

She can't deny that Demilade hasn't shown her those sides of him. She really wants to hate him sometimes but it seems her heart doesn't want her to. Moreover, she wasn't the type that hold grudges, especially with someone she is staying with.

But she had learned better. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws. And those are Demilade flaws and sometimes there are just walls he built around himself.

"Demilade is not a saint and he isn't a gentleman sometimes. As much as he looked like it." She said and they both chuckles.

"Correct," Bayo said still smiling.

She paused for a while before she continued. "I won't lie that he had not said some mean words to me. Or he had not made me angry that I just feel like hitting him. He had. But... Demilade is a bit hard to understand and even predict. But it is not impossible to understand him. He needs patience and endurance to deal with it. He is sweet when he wants to be. Sometimes it's like a bulb was been lit in his head and he just does what you least expect." The memory of the previous night flashed in her mind. As funny and annoying as it had been, she still find herself smiling when she remembered what happened. And she sort of liked it.

The way he carried her, the proximity, the way he smiled at her discomfort and that look in his eyes that she don't know.... she liked it.

Bayo just stared at Lola. He can tell what she was thinking. And his lips tugged up in a smile.

"Demilade is nice and he cares even if he pretends that he does. He does." She said finally.

Bayo just nodded. She just gave him more reasons to like her and that she is the right person for Demilade.

Just in the short while that she had been with him, she learn a lot about him. A lot of people find it hard to understand him and they quickly judge him. They think he is mean, heartless and cunning in terms of business. They just have to tolerate him because of his power and his wealth.

His money had been the reason why Lola had come into his life in the first place but he can tell that wasn't the reason she was staying anymore. There was more.

Lola likes Demilade.

Not because of his money or his beauty but real feelings for him.

"What will you do if Demilade likes you?" He suddenly asked.

Lola jerks her head toward him. She was shocked at the question, she couldn't deny that.

She chuckled lightly. "I... I don't know. I don't even know if that can happen.... with Demilade."
